Trials of Daedalus by NightShadow0
**POST-COMPO EDIT (Sep 4): Added checkpoints. No other changes to the game, please play this version if the original feels frustrating.
Trials of Daedalus is a super simple metroidvania based on the myths of Daedalus and his *Ancient Technology* inventions, in particular the version of the myth recounted by Dael Kingsmill (link below).
The content i planned is all there, but not the polish. I lost a lot of time due to it being my first time using Tiled with Unity, and me doing zero preparation before the jam; the gameplay is pretty rough as a result, but i tried to make the glitches help the gameplay instead of hindering it. The WebGL build is also significantly slower than the editor version, but i don't think it's a performance issue; not sure what's up with that.
Controls:
*Left and Right directional keys, A/Q and D: Move;
*Up, W, Z: Jump / Double Jump (when unlocked);
*Down, S: Hide from bulls (when unlocked).
Game made in Unity; levels made in Tiled, imported via Tiled2Unity; artwork made in Aseprite, imported via TexturePacker; music generated in cgMusic with minor edits in Audition.
Thanks for playing!

I also agree with checkpoints, it's something i would've added with more time, i'll try to put up a quick post-compo version with them during the weekend.
I enjoyed playing it!
Congrats!
And i think, your have some collision's problem or bounce material on Player or Green Blocks. Music is pretty good)
The collision detection has occasional glitches, which is weird taken that it's made in Unity. You did use standard colliders and rigidbodies right?
You should also get rid of the default blue background.
Good Job
Cool take on the theme, the music was decent (any original music impresses me), my main complaint is that the game is slow slow slow to move which took the fun out of it for me. I still beat it though. :)
