My first Ludum Dare! A bit stressful at times but this was a lot of fun to make! Hope you enjoy

G.R.I.D (Guarding. Response. Investigate. Detain) is a security robot who is chasing after the thief that’s stolen the diamond you were protecting. However, G.R.I.D has to unplug his charger to chase after him and now he’s running out of power! Use the space key to jump, collect the batteries to keep you power bar up - if it reaches 0, game over!

Not too bad for your first LD entry :)
To be fair, it was not the most fun game i've ever played, but keep up the work!
I missed some music in your game and you can increase your energy by using the arrow keys ^^
I think it would be more fun if the player was a bit faster ;)

@proturials Thank you! Ahhh I didn't realise I left that in! It was meant to be how I tested if the power bar would move but I didn't take it out in the final project.. Bad final checks on my part! I'm gonna try and work on this more in the summer, give it some more power ups and stuff to make it have more interesting gameplay :)

I like the feel of the game! A little slow paced, and I accidentally found the "arrow-keys-to-change-my-energy-level" cheat, but I like the visuals.
