Guero by beta


Guero is a game where you search for treasures in a haunted cave.
Made in 48h for the Ludum Dare 40 Compo by Alberto "_beta" Mellado.
Written in C# on Unity.

:beginner: Controls:
Movement -> A / Left Arrow - D /Right Arrow
Left Mouse Click -> Hook (Hold to stay)
Right Mouse Click -> Release Treasure
ESC -> Pause Menu
If you do not know what to do:
Bring the trasures to the top by touching them.
The more trasures you get, the more you will weigth.
When you get a treasure it also acts as a shield
Killing enemies is quite difficult but you can if you hit them in the top of their head.

This was my 7th Ludum Dare entry and I am quite happy with the result. I think the gameplay is quite awesome. I really enjoy the gamefeel :D.

1. The left and right movement keys stop working if your tongue crosses a wall, I managed to get stuck in a corner and couldn't get out.
2. Towards the end of the game, while holding the large diamond I was hit by the mega bat down onto the spikes and rather than dying, I gained all my hearts back.
Overall a short but enjiyable challenge. Well Done
Only noticed two things that may be bugs.
1. When going for the second treasure, I decided to grab it and another to see what it was like with multiple. I ended up dying on the spikes at the bottom, leaving both treasures there. At that point, the compass was always pointing in an upward direction, even from the top/starting point on the scren.
2. When I brought the final treasure up, I had hooked right at the top of the screen, above the little guy you bring the treasures to. His dialog started for beating the game, but the player character continued to move up like he was still hooked to the wall, with the camera zooming on him. Made it hard to see the final dialog.
Also, the music is really jazzy?? It's super cool!
The music is okay and the swinging is fun but I didn't get into the game.
