Count Weenie by vidsneeze

[raw]
made by vidsneeze for LD 41 (COMPO)

My compo entry uses the theme by way of Linear Story X Dynamically Affected Elements. Also it uses the theme as Vampire X Sausage.

PlayerIcon.gif

You play as Jo, who recently got turn into a hideous half vampire half sausage half human. Jo is on a quest to find the dingy's cure the sausagic curse.

The game is top down first zelda type screen to screen, with an attack, and a couple extra actions depending on how you play. The game is suppose to be played as a puzzle and you're unlikely to discover all the mystery on the first try. There quite a few npcs to meet and try to figure out how they fit into curing the sausagic curse.

Anyways hope you enjoy.

I'll post info about the game late HERE

NO Mac version. probably after ludum dare i'll have a mac version

there's no mute or volume option, but the music gives some hints to the game.Screen3.pngScreen2.pngScreen_1.png

The game seems to open as a background process, so I cant figure out how to play it. Is that just me or is anyone else having that problem?

Nice storyline. It seems to be much deeper than some movies nowadays :)
Sausage-vampires ftw

Nice little game. I liked the attack and the Zelda-like dungeons. Good work :)

Definitely one of the very good ones, which are enjoyable to play. Nice zelda-like movement and the genres were melded well, though the conflict between the incompatible genres wasn't in my opinion quite there.

Neat game, having gameplay affect the story is really cool.
I also liked the low rez graphics and having different variations of songs for the temples was nice.
its just that respawning enemies and no checkpoints is oldschool cool but also a bit of a pain.

The story telling was good, the mood was great. I liked the muzik a lot! The low-res graphics were so cute and beautiful! I hate those, slimes? They are so fast and sometimes when I go to another room they are at the place were I enter so I die immediately, this is the only problem that I faced.

Great game, interesting story, and some npc are pretty funny! I liked how the music changes in the different areas and stages of the game. Those slimes get very aggresive!

It's actually quite fun. Multiple endings are a nice touch. My only problem with it, is that navigation can get a bit confusing, so a map wouldn't hurt. Overall, a solid entry.

Was pretty amusing. Got Bad Ending number 1. Guess that teaches you how hard life for a vampire can be.

Nicely done, liked how fluid the movement felt and the pretty functional graphics.

When i play it's was like, maybe if something is here or that can be in other way. When i play a zelda-kind a game, when are good I always think in this way... The history it's deeper that I think in the start, good, really

I got pulled into this game, enjoyed the simple nature of attacking and feeding. But I enjoyed the feeding a little _too_ much...and I got a bad ending. Somehow that was enough for me to be hooked to go back and try for a better ending. Great job!

Neat game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 41 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHFQFxHlU6Y

This was very funny. I loved the simple animations and the look of the whole thing. The music in the different areas was a nice touch.

I would have liked to see some feedback from hitting enemies or being hit. It would make the game feel a little more juicy. The eating animation was great and I appreciate how you made a character with three halves but don't care and don't mention it.

I really enjoyed this. I was amazed at all the screens. It's always been my dream to do a freakish amount of screens, that i could be good enough at making levels to do something like this. It was a bit empty in the castles, but that's not the point. They were there. I totally failed my first run through since i ate everyone. Then i realized there was a lot more going on and it was much more intersting! good work.
