Name and idea are great. Rules are a little complicated at first, but overall good fun

Interesting concept and the little cats are great! I would say all the flashing colors are bit hard on the eyes and difficult to keep track of though. Still, good work!

That was a neat game. I wish I could hear the beat a bit more though. Good job!

Interesting. The sound made when placing the cats sounds... suspicious. Also, for a disco game, there's not a lot of music. Besides that, the game is very enjoyable.

I really missed some music here, but the gameplay is quite fun and really nice graphics.

Weird name, I like it. Would improve a lot with real music, but doing that in a game jam... for me would be close to impossible, so I understand it.
Graphics is neat, gameplay interesting.
I had the last tile in yellow, so I couldn't end the game - the check for valid moves seems not to respect this.

Hmm...I finally figured out how to place the cats, but then I filled the floor with all but the yellow squares. I couldn't get any further. Does that make it a "cat" game? :P Thanks for the fun!

Nice color domination strategy game with a touch of rhythm game. Could use some funky music. Something like this: https://www.beepbox.co/#6n31s0kbl00e0ft4m0a7g0fj7i0r1o3210T0w0f1d0c0h0v1T0w2f1d1c0h0v0T0w3f1d1c0h0v1T2w1d0v4b4h4h4h4h4h4i4x8i4x8i4x8i4x8i4x8i4h4h4h4h4h4p21DFzY6wd0q0M8q0Q1E20GotsG9DN0RgaK7e74Vllcckl0946h1U2aw585cuuWS05cYdjbzx5j7DyZy5S1kQ-0aoDgsBjljljljljljli0

Feel free to use the music after Compo!

Little problem with the game: I was left with 2 yellow squares and no space to place anymore cats. However game didn't end.

Nice mood! I ended by putting everyone except one on the dancefloor!
Lovely cats, and graphically well done! Good job!

I didn't know this beepbox tool! cool stuff, thanks for sharing it.

(I couldn't implement an end screen, that's the reason the game doesn't end properly )

I've already play your game, nice stuff! like the way you need to choose bombs to unlock your path.

Wow, this game came with a free seizure! Kidding, it's marvellous. By the end, I had the dance floor packed with crazy kittens. I was half-expect Nyan Cat to make an appearance. Clearly it was his night off. A really compelling game and the mechanics are executed beautifully. Well done.

Dancing cats ! Don't mind if I do !
The game is a bit confusing for me, but I like the presentation a lot, it's cute and quite funny ! And the concept is great too, there's a lot of possibilities with it. Too bad there's no actual music.

@Darby Costello: hahaha I though the same about the lightning, I there is a lot of job I couldn't finish for the compo but at least you enjoyed  thanks!

@Toulou thanks! music is not my best skill and I couldn't fit in the compo  I have a lot of ideas that I want to test in a post-jam version.

Pretty cool game, it becomes increasingly difficult to put dancers toward the end game and I really like the dancing sprites!

Too bad that there is no music, that would be awesome. Fun and hard (or i'm bad at seeing valid spaces and keeping the rythm)

Takes some time to get used to the rules, and it could certainly use some music other than the beat, but other than that, it's quite fun and the graphics are nice. I also think that it might be nice to have a time limit every turn, maybe as a separate mode.

This was fun! It's sized a bit weirdly in my browser, but I zoomed out and it played just fine. It's definitely very cute

Love the idea, has a sort of 'we are all friendly but really competitive and NO YOU CAN'T STAND NEXT TO ME'-vibe XD Just a shame that there wasn't time for any music, that would've been le cherry on top.

What worked:
Art and controls

What needed polish:
Wasn't sure what to do / whose turn it was. Conveyance in general needs some tuning.

Good job tho! :D

The idea is interesting, the graphics and sound are nice and set very well the rythm of the game. Good job!

Fun mechanic. I love these types of games. The bright colors did get a little difficult to stare at for long, but otherwise I really enjoyed timing the clicks to place the cards.

Neat idea - even if the flashing is a bit too much, hahah. A music with the beats would have been even better! But, pretty unique entry overall. Good work.

Nice game! rules seem complicated from the description but they are actually pretty easy to go with once you are into the game. Would be nice if there was a timer so players have limited time to place their cat or they lose their turn. And of course, some music! great work!

Iiiiinteresting little game! Unfortunately, I didn't have a friend to play with, but I explored the game by myself for a bit. Easy to understand, though seemingly tricky to master... I have a feeling I'll find the best way to win eventually, like tic-tac-toe, but you've rather wisely designed the patterns in such a way that having gaps in your defense is almost guaranteed. Nice art, and a funky beat to groove to! A simple design, executed well. Good job!

This was fun! I unfortunately didn't have another person to play it with so I had to go solo.

Like others have commented, this really does need music for a really cool experience. Also, there doesn't seem to be any time limit, does there? So the flashing panels added a little timing requirement, but if you found a perfect spot you could just wait until it lit up and place your cat then. Maybe adding a time limit to each player's turns would help the whole thing flow better?

I liked the comments that popped up as you placed the cats!

I liked the art and animations of this puzzle game! Interesting concept, but a bit of a steep learning curve on the first play-through. I'd also really like to hear some music plugged into this game. Fun submission!

Your artwork is adorable! I'm a fan of retro-style graphics, and to see them in a cute hot-seat puzzle game was fun to find. I think it was smart to re-skin the same figures which likely streamlined your animation process. Well done. :)
