The bar going down on the water and changing speed it goes up depending on the area of the map you are, is a way to buy more time. The main goal is to follow the arrow at the beginning to find the car to escape.
Fun - I had a lot of fun playing this. I think I figured out the meter (number of footprints over time, right?). 3/5
Theme - The more footprints you have, the worse it is... I love it! 4/5
Graphics - The graphics were a little incongruous (with the pixel art and the realistic lighting) but was fairly well done. 3/5
Audio - The music track was great, it put me on edge the whole time I was playing. It also had a great mood! 4/5
I liked it ! :)
Also i find it kind of cool you can "hide" from the aliens in the bushes, I did not understood that the very first time
Really nice work !
Also I noticed you are in version 1.3 I would have loved to see the real Jam upload to compare. As you have no patch note it is a little frustrating. But it is tolerated in the last jams so I can't blame you :)
Also, don't know if that's a bug or intended, but you run faster diagonally :)
