Cool shapes, did not load in firefox 52 but chrome did work. Is this supposed to work in VR?

@leave: no, it doesnt work in vr, even though the engine is made for vr uses.

Very cool that you have some degree of VR support! I had no idea what to do, though, besides walking about and admiring the scenery.

Now that is some trippy stuff! But the cool kind of trippy. Cool stuff :)

Very basic gameplay. It was a nice stroll, but I don't believe I was scoring points or achieving a goal. Will there be a goal in a future version?

Really interesting scenery, and neat that it works in VR, but I don’t see any gameplay or connection to the theme.

Cool environment, too bad I don't have a VR headset! :( This makes an awesome base for a survival/horror game though. I'd love to see what you make out of it!

Interesting visuals, but I felt the level design was a little too aimless for what seems to be an exploration game.

The performance of this thing is astonishing, good work on your engine. It does work as an exploration/mood piece, although I hope one of these days you'll make one with more ...active gameplay  In the meantime: stay spikey!

Hm, so this is 'only' a scene, not a game?!? Seems to me like it. Good to hear that it actually works in VR, it's cool that HTML5 is working with VR now...

Neat, another non-Unity 3D game in the browser! (Emscripten/Binaryen/WebAssembly power!)
The renderer seems to work now we need some gameplay! :-)

2 / 4 not bad!

Appreciating the tech behind it all! Now that you have it working I look forward to your next LD entry.

I was unable to get the VR scene to play in Firefox or Chrome.

I tried to stream it tonight at https://www.twitch.tv/saoigames

I was using My HTC Vive which I had used before the stream successfully, and I was also able to get another WebVR experience to load into the HTC Vive after I was unable to get your experience to work.

I will try again, and see if I can get it to work in my Oculus Go or in Firefox after a restart.

You can hear my comments in the archive at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298329090

@saoi-games: Yes, it requires clone mode. The webvr api is unable to control the display in emscripten, so clone mode is the only thing that makes it work. Basically the web VR experience just requires drawing the screen to correct position/resolution, and then windows settings/monitor clone mode is able to clone the display to the htc vive.

Normally the webvr api would provide a way to do requestpresent and display the screen to the VR. But emscripten version doesnt seem to be working, so hacks is required / and the hack is all about setting windows settings for cloning the display.

@tero-pulkkinen Thank you for clarifying.

I'm curious what you used to build this. I've not heard of emscripten before, but it is still a big space.

Have you tested on WMR or Oculus Go? I know that Oculus Go might be an easier experience since you can pull up a browser in the headset with minimal difficulty. However, there would be no keyboard attached to move around.

@saoi-games I've tried with oculus rift, but had some problems with the hdmi connection that it requires, and thus pose (or the real display) didn't work. But it's usable via cloning. The openvr version works properly in vive, but emscripten/browser side has problems. But the clone mode is working ok.

emscripten is a way to run c++ programs inside a browser. Firefox fullscreen button is slightly wrong position due to emscripten, but in chrome it should look ok.

Very interesting environment you created. lots of neat things to go and explore. Made me wish I had a VR set to really experience it properly.

Here is a link to your game on my stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/299088812?t=01h34m19s

interesting environment... I suspect this is more a tech demo for VR... That or I missed something with the game play. Looks very inspired by the last 2 LD games you did (The style is very memorable, so I check your past games).

Very pretty, even without VR, but I'm not sure what the actual gameplay is.

Seems like a good basis for some sort of survival game, though - it reminds me of old-school Rust, back before there was a procedural map. Has the same sort of vaguely spooky nature feel, what with the trees and all.
