Instructions:

This is a 2D platformer where you start with some power ups like long jump, strength, super speed, etc and you need to use those powers to reach the end of the level. The twist is that you can choose to lose any of these powers at any moment in the game by removing parts of your clothing. By doing this you lose a power but this action may help you overcome some obstacles that would be impossible to overcome without losing that power. For example: you start the game with sunglasses that allow you to stay on bright areas indefinitely. But there are some really dark areas that you cannot traverse if you are using those glasses so you can choose to remove them in order to overcome the darkness. Without the sunglasses though, you'll not be able to stay in bright areas for too long so you'll have to move faster.

Changelog: - 31/07 - Initial release - 01/08 - Fixed wall height that allowed finishing the game in an unintended way

I didn't really get the game. What am I supposed to do? I just can't get out of the initial platform :/

The idea of losing powers is interesting, but the platforming needs a lot more work. It is hard to really know which powers you need to lose when (except for the glasses, which you give in the hint), and every time you die you need to start all over again.

Also why is the character falling up? :-D

This game is really cool, the main characters looks like the coolest kid in the school =D The sounds are good, and the gameplay is also good, if you guys had made a art in the tiles of the map would have looked even better.

But anyway is a great game, simple but fun. Great team work guys !

Mais legal ainda por ser jogo de BR, parabens pessoal ! =)

@caranha Thanks for the feedback! We had this feeling it would be too difficult to find out what powers the player has to lose since the clothing and the powers aren't really related. We liked the concept and tried to create the game based on it but also it depended too much on good level design in order to succeed as a game. Unfortunately the time limit forced us to reduce the scope and we had to build this level in a hurry in the last hours of the competition.

I tried really hard to get off the initial platform by discarding various powers and trying the jump, but I was unable to. Sorry! The game looks pretty good, though!

Sadly, for some reason the game didn't run very well on my computer so I couldn't really play it, but I still wanted to stop by and say that the concept is pretty cool! I like the idea of having to lose powers that you have become accustomed to using throughout a game. Having to decide what powers you need or don't need is an interesting idea as well.

Hi,
I didn't really understand the point of the game. When I remove my sunglasses I die? Then there was this one bit where the screen suddenly went black and I suddenly found myself floating in mid-air falling to my death. But I will say good on you for making a game in 48 hours. :)

I liked the concept, but this game really needed checkpoints (maybe post jam version). I liked that I was able to make it through the dark sections for a while with my glasses. The "can't walk on ice" thing weirdly made sense to me for the pants. I personally did like the mystery of what removing items did and enjoyed trying it out. Again, it was just heart breaking to have to start at the beginning again just because you removed the incorrect item.
Art and music was nice. I liked that the little dude could rock undies and shades. :D

The idea is good, the platforming no so good (too much inertia), the jump sometimes not happening. It would have been better with checkpoints, and a key to restart if you removed the wrong thing.

The game is really confusing, as you don't know what correlates with what and tutorial is really scarce. Besides that it's really nice platformer.
