Level3.png

Join the family business and help your dad run "Out of Space", a store for alien artifacts and merchandise.

How to play:

Move through the Labyrinth without touching the walls. Touch the artifact (the green circle at the end) to advance to the next level.

Controls:

Space to advance cutscenes.

Mouse to navigate the labyrinth.

We had planned a lot more, but in the end only I could invest time in programming (and everything else except for brainstorming the idea). So we ended up with a lot less than we wanted. No real traps, sadly. We hope you enjoy it anyway.

Team:

Johannes Alef (Programming, "Art", mostly everything ;) )

Rebecca Schieren (help with brainstorming the idea and help with music selection)

Technology:

Unity (Wow, shortest list ever.)

So I generally hate forced movement games, but I actually liked this one! The last level is really hard and I really don't know if this was intentional, but on the last level the square's position gets farther away from my actual mouse and gets locked there, which made it really hard to finish the last level. But it was totally worth it to see that spiral animation at the end lol. Wish you had done the music because I really really liked that! But thank you for crediting the original author! Great job!

Really nice game, the intro scene is funny x)
Adding a way for the player to accelerate might be interesting for the challenge.
Good job!

The gameplay was really fun, and the music choice was on point. The last level was definitely hard to control, but it was short enough to make it through nonetheless, which is a good thing.

I think there's a bug in level 2? It finished without collecting a green ball. Other than that a good game.

Interesting gameplay. Controlling with a mouse feels good, but sometimes the character is not moving smoothly.

Fun game! I agree with other commenters, the audio was really fun and supported gameplay well. I didn't see a green dot in the Yellow world either - I think that's Level 2? The game kind of incentivized you to hardly move until that last level. I enjoyed it a lot overall! Interesting idea, I'd like to see where you could take it with more than 3 days!

Needs polish for sure, but this proves you can build a nice game with simple shapes. I love how the music changed along the way. At the PINK level though, it moved so fast that the block was not always on my cursor. I felt it was unbeatable as I had to move BEFORE it seems natural to do so. Other than that, it was fun and grew in difficulty, so, well done!

First of all, the intro story was golden! I liked you took the time to make several levels, and the changing music really immersed me into this world. The psychedelic colors combined with character jittering movement were a bit headachey. Overall I enjoyed this game! :D

I really like this interpretation of the theme! The game is a lot of fun; the choice of music together with the scaling/rotating/panning of the camera go together to make this surprisingly gripping despite the minimal mechanics.

Nice fun game.

The last level was a bit... strange as the dot wasn't held to the cursor. Especially if it grazed the wall it could jump a whole inch off coursor for a couple seconds making it nigh impossible to control. And I doubt this is a feature. Looks more like a bug.

But the story is hilarious.

Rather amusing concept and great level design. Levels literally were a fun hell to move through as the camera flipped directions.

However, The character could have used some lerp motion or something. As it twitch around so much on my screen a good deal. This was painful to look at and took away from the nice levels.

Over all good game, little work with graphics and it would make for a great cellphone game.

It's always though when we run out of time to implement the ideas we had for a game but deliver something is better than to have nothing and I like the story at the beginning giving the goal some character to the game and the player's avatar. Nicely done. I also found it amusing how the player dies slowly by bouncing and becoming smaller and smaller.

first thing I noticed was the stretched out Unity 2d Objects. Interesting idea and a funny story though!

The game itself is pretty well made, but it could do with some graphics.
