Escape The Sacrifice by Pete

Unity_dDwBbe0HdC.png

Inspired by the old flash "Escape the *" games we have created a 3D escape the room. You've been captured by a cult and are going to be the sacrifice for their upcoming event. You better try and escape before that happens!

A simple and fun little puzzle game. I would have liked the story for this game, was included in the game and not just told on this page. Overall a fine LD game.

Overall the game is good, I didn't get the code for the second room, tried a bunch of things :( Sometimes the Action is a bit wonky, you have to get really close and clic sometimes doesn't register but it is still fine. Little enigmas that I did were straightforward but fun! :) 3D models are great for a jam, the game is a bit far from the theme tho.

That was fun! A bit simple but nicely polished and done well. I really like the score at the end, it makes me want to try again but faster. I also really like the controls and how things are picked up and used, I think it's pretty innovative and much more like real life!

I love escape rooms. I felt very defeated when I couldn't get the second cell. I tried everything. I was certain you missed something but the guy above seems to have finished... so I went back... eventually I found it and felt really stupid for not having seen it earlier! Very clever :)

Nice game, all in all!

I had a lot of trouble figuring it out, I'm pretty sure it was hidden in the venting machine and the towel things was some sort of color code for it. I like the idea and the way it played, I would really like to see this finished and get to speed run and stream it eventually. Fun Game!

Great little escape room! I won. Has very little to do with the theme but is a strong entry otherwise.

SPOILER HINT for the final puzzle: read the clock instructions closely!

I love these types of games but I first tried the HTML version and I ran into the same problem my game did actually, I kinda giggled. We also had the Unity issue with the mouse stopping at the browser borders, tried fixing it the same way and ended up with a view that could look everywhere! even upside-down.

So after that I tried it in the actual file and it ran a lot smoother which was great. I ran into a bug though trice where I couldn't get the second battery out of the vending machine I think it may have been the same problem that a few others had. I saw it was there and saw the clue but the battery never fell out.

Besides that I though the game was quite fun and intuitive.

I love escape rooms in general so this was a great little game for me! A few good puzzles, it's only a shame there weren't more! I really appreciated the puzzles were't 'find the pixel'. Last one had me stumped ,and I'm a tad embarrassed to admit I was fiddling around with my system clock for a few minutes before the penny dropped. It;s a shame the theme wasn't more evident in the game and some music would've really gone a long way. Overall it was a lovely little experience.

Excellent game! Love the models and the connecting puzzles. I got totally stuck on the vending machine puzzle and referred to the comments to finish the game (I knew where the second battery was, but couldn't figure out how to get it out). Ingenious puzzles though! I should have persevered.

I couldn't get the WebGL port to work. I saw the reticle, but no other models. When I tried the desktop build, I had no problem.

Overall a great game!

I dont see the link between the game theme and the theme "sacrifices must be made" 😟

I liked the visual style. The game did seem to be quite short though.

Great escape room game, loved it! Could have been nice with some music and maybe a hint system when you get stuck. Great game!

SPOILER BIT Couldn't figure the last bit out, ~~I think there's a battery in the vending machine, but no clue how to get it out~~.

That said, pretty nice puzzles you've got here, and the few sfx there are are pretty good. Some ambient sounds / music would've been nice, as well as additional sfx (like footsteps), but overall, nice stuff. Extra kudos for going the first-person-item-picker-upper route, I did as well :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
