Sacrifices must be Made In China by yilian

This is what happens if you make a game from a dumb pun someone scribbled on a post-it.

It turned out the be some sort of sim-management game, but really, you just play it for the humour, not the challenge.

We might've aimed a bit high with the scope of this game, so not everything is perfectly balanced, but atleast we have bad puns. It's something.

Wow, that game was really relaxing somehow and I loved all the cute flavourtexts! And the background image really created the right atmosphere. I think some calm music would have made the atmosphere even better.

(btw, we built a manufactoring game based on the same pun, check it out: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/ardens-artisan-artefacts)

This is an interesting game, thought I didn’t see much of a challenge to it as it currently is. I played for a while and never got offered a contract that would have cost me more in materials then I made from it, so it was always just the best option to complete every contract. I think that with a bit more polish and balance this could become a much more interesting and challenging game. I did like your UI, it worked very well and was intuitive to use. The names of all of the companies were funny. Overall, I thought that the game was interesting but didn’t see many sacrifices that needed to be made. It was a cool game that just needed a bit of balance. Great work for a weekend!

Ps. It would have been awesome to have a web build. You used Unity, so you could just build for webGL and host it on itch.io along with your downloads
