Fisherman's Estafette is a fishing game, made for the Ludum Dare 40 with the theme "The more you have, the worse it is". You have to catch more and more fishes in the three areas, to upgrade your ship and be the best fisherman on your island. Watch out the sharks! The more fish you have on your boat, the more tricky it becomes to drive your boat. Don't drop fishes, it may attract the sharks...

I really appreciate the experience, the overhall mood, graphics & audio are really nice, nice work on the immersion. I'm not sure I get the point on how to properly fish etc... but I could manage to upgrade my ship, buy nets for larger fishes etc... for me, the "tutorial"should have been a little bit more explicit. But I really had great time playing this! Congrats :)

I'm running into an instant crash when launching it, I've experienced this myself when building the latest unity and would recommend building it in 32-bit mode since that worked for me :|

Understanding how to control was tough (especially when the descriptions in menu are wrong), but after a bit of trying I was able to play it finally.

There is a problem in performance, whenever fishes are thrown to the ship, framerate decreases - and quite a lot. Not sure why, as it is just few objects.

Visually the game is pleasing, yet nights are a bit weird - too little light, yet the sky dome is too bright. Maybe a bit more ambient light could solve this?

As for music, it is really good and fits the game well.

Keep up the good work.

I am a sucker for anything maritime related. The whole scenery is wonderful. I love the way the pitch of the sun changes throughout the day and casts different reflections off the rocks. That a lone would have made this worth. In fact, I think I would have rather played a game where you can just explore a vast marine world like that just for sights. This really was a gorgeous game in that regard. The rest of it was oookay. I am not clear what the rope gauge in the top left represents, my health somehow I guess, but why does it drop? It just seemed to drop when there were no sharks around. The fishing part worked well enough but I am sure you realize could use some fine tuning. Even though I recognized the frivolity of it all, I still got caught up in the game of trying to get as much fish as possible for the big pay even risking dangerous waters.

Nice song plays and objects created with cubes, but control in description are diffrend, and small count of sharks and easy to avoid them.

@pacha Thanks ! Our Game Artist worked hard on it !

@wojciech-bruski & @zgragselus Thanks for the review ! Yes the controls have been build on an Azerty keyboard, so we forget to update them at least.

@maxime-ferrieu & @bigblackbeard I'm glad to know you like the game ! Thank you for your review !

@muffincookie Ok thank you for the feedback, we will do it !

Had some difficulty understanding the game, controls were different than those written in-game and it took me a while to understand the general mechanics.

You have something good going on with the world, the graphics and the day-night circle, and the music is alright but a bit too repetitive.

Good work :)

I like games with upgradable content, although i think the prices are too high

Very beautiful rendering! In 72 hours, it's tough work! ! I really like the connection with the theme which makes it necessary to manage its return trips.

First of all, the islands, plants, boat and the whole open world look very good. Although, it seemed to me that the change of day and night is too fast. Music is atmospheric, but after a long swim starts to get bored. I had problems with performance too. After I caught the fish, the game began to work very slowly. And after visiting the port the game stopped responding to the input. Anyway, you did a great job! Good luck to your team!
