Amitosis by Pixel Maniacs

Amitosis is set in the time before animals and plants. You are one of the first cells living on earth, trying to take over the primeval soup and conqueror the world.
You and your rival organism both have the superpower of cell division. When you get shot you and all you clones divide their cells and form perfect clones with the goal to confuse and distract. If a clone gets shot, they just dissolve.
Be careful because the more clones you have the worse it is to identify yourself. The more clones the enemy has the harder it is to hit the primal overlord controlling the horde. On the other hand, the more the merrier, right?

How to play:
- Select if you got a friend with you, or want to play alone against the AI, "show me" is just a bot battle
- Try to figure out which cell you are controlling, jumping helps a lot!
- Collect pewpews and throw them at your opponent.
- Shoot your opponent's main character 6 times to win.
- If your opponent shoots your main character 6 times you lose.
- Beware of to many clones. They will duplicate, too!
esc to go to pause screen

I will return and try this game again when i have a friend with me :D
I have no problems with it other than that damn shift key binding.
After "Cant Drive This", I always expect the best from you. This one also fun to play, even I'm alone. I need to try this vs someone
Great graphics, fantastic music, good job again (Y)
we played your entry in multiplayer and singleplayer-mode and I have to say... it's pretty awesome!
The idea and the execution is absolutely creative and unique. Definitely never played something like this before.
You hit the theme perfectly and I mean really just perfect 10/10. But at this point I found the only complication with this game, my experience was as follows:
I wachted some gameplay and I liked it, but honestly I was confused what's going on. So I watched the tutorial and I was still confused. It took me about 2-3 rounds to understand what I'm doing in this game. Okay the blame is on my side too, because I read your "how to play" afterwards. I would recommend to make the tutorial a little more understandable, with things like colored main characters and projectiles for each player.
But! This was just a reeaaally minor problem on a such a great jam game.
As I mentioned before the game is outstanding creative in each way.
The gameplay itself was really cool to play after I got it.
It's simple and fun, that's all you want and need from a jam game. Props on that.
And it's definitely a great joy in multiplayer, thank you for implementing that!
The graphics were just beautiful and I love the background design with it's bouncing movement. The models, FX, textures and everything is absolutly fantastically polished. The colors were well chosen and I can say just one screenshot of the game would be enough to fall in love with it (at least it worked for me). Oh and the character design is sooo cute!
The audio was in a nice harmony with the mechanics and the design.
It was absolutely professional and greatly supported the humor.
And somehow I can't stop hearing it, that how it should be! ^^
Maybe I repeat myself but: Awesome job! I can certainly see a feature for this game. Maybe with things like upgrades for the pewpews(xD) or further evolutions of the player in a match.
Boy that went a bit more text than I expected. Well anyways, thank you making this and keep up the great work!
Congrats to you and your team, this is an amazing job - it also shows that you know how to polish a game. The assets are plain awesome! And it's definitely one of the most innovative games I've played for this LD's theme!
