You create a powerful collection of bacteria called a biofilm. A biofilm is any group of microorganisms in which cells stick to each other; often these cells adhere to a surface. These adherent cells are frequently embedded within a self-produced matrix of extracellular polymeric substance (EPS). Biofilm: extracellular polymeric substance, which is also referred to as slime.

The biofilm is based on a collection of various bacterium which you assemble yourself.

This game is built by Belin Fieldson and Johnny Woolley in a single weekend using all original content. The sound effects were made with mouths and Audacity Game built in Unity

Props for using actual biological nomenclature in your description, bros! Then again, I am pretty sure the pictures you used for the bacteriae are not accurate.
The unfortunate thing is that the windows download is missing the 'biomario-0.0.1_Data' folder... The gameplay looks fun, I wanna play it!

This was a profoundly fun thing to work on, and significantly less stressful than the work for 24 hour hackathon we did this summer!

Interesting game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :)

I'll rebuild the windows version, sorry about that! Lemme see if the HTML5 compiler works too, and I'll put it up on a page.

Yes, the images aren't accurate right now. We ran out of time for customizations of the level and making the levels different between rounds.

You can play the web version now if you're on Windows. I've tested that it works. I didn't include revisions I've made since the game release, post LD.

This looks great and has a lot of potential but I wasn't 100% sure on what I was doing or how to complete a level (Web version)? I like the concept though and the take on the theme is novel and inventive! Will play the post jam update and see what you have added as I think it could be a really entertaining and educational idea. Well done thanks for making it!
