MotherBoard by nikrt

Your phone is low on charge, and the charger is ten feet away! So the only way now to survive for long is to close every power consuming app on the phone! Play as the app that kills all other apps to save power, using the conventional wasd and mouse controls! Kill enemies with either the gun or the ctrl+alt+del, that, when attached to enemies in succession, terminates them immediately!

Just a problem with hitboxes of rounds objects.
The music and the sound effects go well.
I had fun. Good job
But great game anyway :D
1) Shoot with the LMB
2) Throw ctrl, alt, and del keys with RMB. If all three hit an enemy, it terminates it along with the enemies nearby
The music and graphics are very nice,
It is only 48 hours so there are a few shortcomings. The camera is hard to control, you have to figure out that the mouse position relative to the screen's x center rotates the character.
There are some graphical glitches, like seing the wooden plate through the walls, but those are not a big deal :-)
I like the color scheme you use throughout the world, it is consistent which is great for immersion. Nothing breaks immersion more than a high fidelity robot next to an 8-vertex flat box. So the overall feeling here is cool.
One bug I noticed: when I first started the game I was not able to kill anything, not even by throwing the keys at it. I thought you might not have finished in time but then on the second round it worked all of a sudden.
Keep moving forward.
For me, it wasn't quite clear why to shoot instead of using kills. Seems like the firepower is quite limited
Awesome game. Took me a while to get out the first screen (but was my fault -.-). The auto-rotating camera was a little bit nauseating for me.
At the start it was a bit annoying that there are so little apps and you had to search them. Also the Ctrl-Alt-Delete wasn't that useful as it was faster to just shoot the app instead of shooting three keys and you had to wait between them.
But why are apps shooting at me? Should this the symbolize the draining of the battery?
The graphics are really nice.
I fixed the issue with the time it was taking for launching buttons, its much better now.
And now to answer you question, I guess it would be because they want to stay alive and eat ram, but you are out there killing them, so they attack you..That was my idea :p
Also, nice design and good mood.
It was a really fun entry ! Nice title screen, super cool environment (seeing the phone screen as the ceiling is kinda cool), and gosh, that epic music get you involved instantly ! I've got an hard time the firts games figuring out the controls, but when you get it it's really enjoyable, even if sometimes I still don't go where I wanted to go by mistake.
Nice job too for animate the apps avatars and put some graphical and sound feedbacks (even if I don't get the purpose of some particles like in the screen below, is the phone suffering ? Or it's an app avatar shooting but there is a collision problem and the particles effect is not at the right place ?).
Pretty solid entry overall, gj !

The camera was almost perfect in my oppinion. Original angle and way of moving, albeit a tad too slow.
Loved the music though! It sounds very bombastic and epic-like!
Wasn't keen on the sounds, they didn't seem appropriate for the dramatic looking and sounding game.
The enemies seemed a little cheety. They found me from across the map and converged like an angry mob. This made the game a bit unfair.
The Ctrl-Alt-Del weapon was original! I loved it! It was hard to use, but it came with a great reward. Could use a bit more splash damage for crowd control.
One last minor gripe. I couldn't properly shut down the game. So I had to use Ctrl-Alt-Del for real haha!
A wel deserved pass!
One thing, on my second playthrough, I moved and jumped in slow-mo, and so did the enemies, but I could shoot at a regular rate. Not sure what was up with that, but maybe you do. Otherwise, the gaming was more-or-less smooth.
Epic effort. Only complaints are that the camera controls (camera rotation to mouse position) make the character movement a little confusing. I didn't know what the CTRL ALT DEL stuff did. They seemed to stick to the enemies without doing anything.
Fun 10 minutes. Will look out for this one becoming a full game in the future!
One thing I would change is the camera angles. I would keep the camera without rotation following the player around in the XZ axis. The camera rotating around made the moving controls a bit weird.
Great job overall!
Well done, good luck!
- camera movement could be better (now it can make some people sick or give a headache),
- steering is a littl bit too floaty.
I enjoyed the opening little scene very much.
Do let me know when you get your revenge 😂
