FYI, the Windows download is missing the Unity player DLL. Can't start the game without it. I grabbed what I assumed was the correct DLL from another game, but it didn't start with that one either. :(

Great game, but I'm terrible at Tetris. 1/5. ...Nah, I can't bring myself to do that. Good work, seriously. The music and graphics work together really well in order to set that old-school mood. Listing the controls somewhere in-game would've been good, I think, but Tetris controls are reasonably straightforward so I suppose it doesn't matter too much.

The windows download doesn't work, missing UnityPlayer.dll. I'll be back to see it when it works.

As @stderr noted, the Windows download is still missing the UP DLL.

hey @hello-coder Did you download from the google drive folder. That copy should have the dll file.

@stderr @nardandas and @hello-coder thanks for the heads-up about the missing .dll! We just updated the windows build and it should be working now.

I think we fixed the missing dll issue. If you still want to check out the game try the google drive link.

Omg! Favourite entry so far and I can't see it being beat soon. Brilliant use of the theme, like the style, the music, the cyberpunk vibes I get from it. Tons of fun and just plain genius! Great work!

really like the idea, though it's a little hard to focus on the story and the tetris, though i suppose the pieces move slow enough to not be a problem... anyway, excellent job

Wow. This is truly innovative. To be honest, I couldn't finish the story, since it was a bit hard for me to both focus on the Tetris and the word matching plus reading the story so I ended up ignoring the story and enjoying the Tetris. The music was truly fitting for the game. The visual style is simple but works well for the game. However, I like the low pixel font in the in-progress comments above compared to the final version. Overall, it is very impressive. Great Job.

@Yetman thanks for the wonderful comment. We liked the original pixel text but we were worried it was less readable :shrug_tone5:

AMAZING. Hands down best LD game I have ever played. (This is my first time tho :P)

The music is straight up on par with Blade Runner's. Perfection.

I can't describe my amazement. You could get this greenlit on Steam. Keep up the MIGHTY FINE work

This is a great and innovative idea. The overall vibe is really good too.It feels a tad difficult, however, I could barely make any progress.

This is definitely one of my favorite interpretations of the theme so far. The music and visuals were fantastic, I'm a big fan of the old school terminal look. I did catch myself reading the story parts more and ignoring the pieces falling, which lead to me having to start over a few times, but I didn't really mind. Really nice work overall, great job to all involved.

Really good interpretation and feelings. I think the RNG smashed me down or maybe I'm too bad at tetris :)

I had a bug (i think)![bug.png](///raw/9c8/z/13b43.png) It made playing rather random. Still i understand the idea and am trully amazed how smart it is. Also music and graphics are really fitting. Good job!

Love the mood/overall feel of this game. Entering commands is satisfying, but being able to spell the commands you want feels left up to chance with the blocks you get, which can get discouraging at times. (It took 10 blocks to spell "open" the first time, but only 2 the second.) However, I thoroughly enjoyed the concept and the overall execution!

A very very nice entry! I love tetris and text games, so this was amazing

Really difficult to form words though, I wish it was possible to rotate the tetris!

Really awesome game! The idea behind it is incredible, perfect for the theme. I found it really incredibly hard to spell words though. Maybe being able to spell them vertically would help? I wanted to go further in the game but I couldn't get good letter drops.

First a note: WebGL is throwing me an error.
![error.png](///raw/71c/z/13cc4.png)

Second note: If you mark the windows download as "windows" on your itch page, it'll make it easier to download via the Itch app.

So, I'm terrible at this game XD But it's such a cool idea. I managed to get farther than I thought I would, pretty much purely by luck

@Yirggzmb thanks for the heads up on the the lack of a windows download icon on itch.io page. Not sure what is going with the WebGL error. It's working on our end but we will look into it. also: omg you got the warehouse tho!

@RamiaD Haha, pure luck, I swear. And I've been having trouble with multiple Unity webgl games. May be on my end? I dunno. Something for both of us to look into I guess.

Damn! I'm more than impressed, this is so innovative. This is my favorite so far, everything fits together like a glove. The music is mystical and feels perfect for this kind of game, it doesn't get annoying! The game is polished and this is a good take on the theme! You guys deserve the best, awesome!!!

Thank you so much for this experience and good luck in the future! Have an awesome day, and I hope to see you in the next jam!

Great mood!

The game is kinda hard to play especially after it starts to build up, but the concept is fantastic, and it when it works it is really fun. Super great idea. The atmosphere is great, with the ominous music, and everything it is truly a work of art.

Very good entry! Interesting mix of genres. Unfortunately I did not succeed passing the quest, but I would like to try beating it later.
One only thing: it could be nice to pause falling figures while new story text is printing. I takes long to read it (especially for non-native english readers :)), and without reading I don't know which commands are available next.
Good luck!

This is an incredibly innovative game, however I am terrible at Tetris, so I can't really get anywhere. This idea would probably detract a bit from Tetris itself, but perhaps it would make sense for this type of game to have single letters or maybe 2 letters at a time falling down, so it'd be easier to actually make the words you want to use.

OTherwise, it's a creative concept, and I really like the look and feel of it (and the music adds a lot to the mood!)

Very interesting. Did seem a bit random at times if I was going to spell out the right word. Got a little behind at first because I was thinking it might be a letter matching game or something until I realized it was straight up Tetris. There's a lot of potential here.

Omg! Amazing mood and music! First thing that sprung to mind was Blade Runner, lol.
So far, you guys scored highest (in my personal list) on innovation, combining Tetris with a word builder is a genius new concept if you ask me, well done!

Congratulations! You really managed to combine 2 extremely different game genres and get it work!
The graphics are precise and the audio gives a superb atmosphere.
Is a little bit frustrating trying to get one word right, some aiding tool for that purpose would be appreciated.
Anyway the theme was so well implemented that boosts any cons I can find.
Excellent entry! 5/5

I absolutely loved this concept, my team has been following this game since we saw your blog showing early gameplay. The sound and visual design are fantastic, and the concept is great. I'm not very good at it, but that's no reason to take off points. I did find one bug though, every tetromino drop triggered the word "hack" after I put a "HACK" line piece into the end of a line where there was still a 'K' below it, so it made the word hack without ever clearing it. Very interesting game. Shows a great concept with good execution, but still a bit buggy: I had words that would trigger from off the edge of the tetris workspace, and caused the entire workspace to shift 1 letter to the left somehow, I found that the game doesn't appear to handle clearing multiple lines at the same time quite right (the bottom line is darkened, then all lines disappear), and there appears to be a slight issue with triggering words when you're also placing a tetrimino that would complete a line (that could be a balance decision, however considering how difficult the game is already for the player to impose control over the text scenario, that seems unnecessary).

My biggest gripes with the game was that I could never keep up with reading the new text every time I completed a word to figure out what just happened or what my next action should be, and it seemed rather difficult to try and control what I was doing. At some point, I had to stop worrying about what letters I was putting where, and concentrate entirely on where I was putting the tetriminoes, which lead to completing several words without being aware of what I did, or what was happening because of it. It would have been less frustrating if the player had at least some better control over what letters showed up so they could at least impose some control over what they do.

Unfortunately I couldn't get very far through the game. The bugs I was encountering made it difficult to progress much farther than I already had, but with a few bugfixes, and possibly a few balance changes this could make for a very unique and interesting experience.

I think this is the world's worst on-screen keyboard, lol!

I thought this was a very interesting concept, but just too hard to play. I managed the words: OPEN, HACK, GAT, GUN, NORTH, LOOK and got absolutely nowhere. In about a half hour.

Aesthetically, this is a great game. The green monochrome text, the text-mode Tetris, and the text adventure game all look fantastic. The music is fantastic.

I would have liked to see how the text game played out.

I think this could possibly have been a better game if you could just clear tetris lines by the traditional tetris method of making solid rows, or by spelling words, and forget about the text adventure entirely.

My game incorporated Tetris as well, but in a different way. I hope you'll give it a try.
