Date Attack - A Dating Simulator Idle Game by PineappleBox

[raw]
made by PineappleBox for LD 41 (COMPO)

Date attack is the first, and a completely original Date Simulator War game. You can also look into the source code from https://glitch.com/edit/#!/dateattack. All programming is explained with notes. (and please don't judge my skills, I am an eleven-year-old, and this is my first Ludum Dare and game jam, but please do give me some constructive criticism.) Have Fun! :D Screenshot 2018-04-23 at 9.28.08 PM.pngScreenshot 2018-04-22 at 9.11.13 PM.png

Great job! I also entered my first LD when I was eleven. It's kind of intimidating, but fun. Remember to rate others' games so more people see yours!

Thank you so much for your feedback, I had no Idea rating other people's games could affect my game. Good luck to you, BouncePUNCH was awesome!

So...it's a cookie clicker text adventure? Huh. Never would have thought of that. Your story was entertaining :). Good luck turning 43...I hope there are still cheetohs or you're going to be really bummed.

While i'm not a big fan of these kinds of games - i tried to play it anyways. I didn't really understand what was going on initially, and the abrupt ending felt forced. I think you stuck well to the theme and you successfully completed the game so good job!

Haha not bad for your first LD! I actually love clicker games so this was fun for me. While I know this is a joke game for you, if I was going to give feedback I would suggest lowering the cost of the time warp - it really isn't balanced with the cost of another friend and additionally, I would suggest adding a few more things to the store e.g. an upgrade that doubles the # of friends each of your friend kills (super expensive), an upgrade that slows the rate of time e.g. every minute takes 2 seconds instead of 1, that type of thing - they have done studies and people like watching numbers get bigger :)

Woah very innovative concept and it had me entertained, I usually don't like clickers but with a story the things are different. Good job on this one!

That's a really cool work for a 11 yo's first Ludum Dare. The experience would be funnier if the countdown wasn't so long. 4 minutes is really big for this kind of gameplay.

Congratulations on your first LD! I think this is a really creative concept for your first jam! I thought the story was very imaginative. :)

I'm a big fan of clicker games so my only complaint was that I wished I had more things to "buy" in the store to increase my productivity. I totally agree with the above comments... I love seeing numbers get bigger! Maybe the ending could be based on how long to survive Chris Tine's onslaught? I felt like it ended just as I was starting to get going!

Either way, very creative and a job well done for your first shot! You will get better every jam and who knows... You might make the next Minecraft! :)

That was... really fun actually

Though I didn't feel that my ending was so very terrible as the game said it should be. I really haven't played either PUBG or Fortnite and don't have any strong feelings about my partner's preferences in that regard

This was a good idea. I think you should consider cutting down on the amount of intro story text and maybe adding in some background music. Good job!
