That was awesome!  The style is just spot on.  And the music, I'd love to know how you made it.  Just really well done.  This is my first LD, and just seeing things like this, what people can do in 48 hours is awesome.\n\nYou asked about balancing. My first game ended quickly, as I ran out of food very quickly.  I was still trying to figure out how everything worked, but that's fine.  After that, I focused on building farms.  I could turn food into tools, and once I got that going, I had a surplus of food always ready to go.  Not sure if that's intended, but as long as you have lots of food, the game becomes just a matter of time, even with the diseases.
