The Sauce

BUILD

  • Build your way to victory with up to ten (10) blocks.
  • Lose yourself in the jaw dropping spectacle of 128-bit color and construct your defenses with the most innovative control scheme this side of the Missississippi.
  • The Minecraft Killer???

SHOOT

  • Dynamic Rangefinder Technology (patent pending) uses machine learning on the "block" chain to build a powerful data visualization of, how far you are going to shoot.
  • The New IBM Watson???
  • The WASD killer????????????????

CONQUER

  • Pulse-pounding SCORE™© Board Analysis determines which player has more points, all in real time.
  • None of your games better have a scoreboard in it or your getting sued
  • Heartbreaking story mode - YOUR CHOICES MATTER??? (TWO ENDINGS!!!) Collect them all!!

RULES:

You start the game in build mode. Each time you click the Cube button, a cube will be dropped onto your platform. You only have 10 cubes to work with, so budget carefully! Press the Done button to transition to shooting mode, and trade shots with your AI opponent! Tie goes to the CPU.

CONTROLS:

WASD to move the camera around your build platform and scroll to zoom in/out. When in build mode, click and hold a block and use arrow keys (←↑↓→) to move it. IJKL (think WASD) when in shooting mode to rotate your cannon. Click and hold to charge up a shot - release to fire! Spacebar acts in the same way.!

The concept to do a game in 2 phases is cool.
Maybe, the camera during shooting phase can be improve to get a better filling but anyway, its a jam :)
Nice job!

When I started to play it, I didn't undestand. Now, that I played a few times, I still don't understand...

Haha this is a cool game! It was a little confusing at first, but once I got the hang of it it was fun! Maybe a small in game tutorial?

It's addicting, I like it.

There are some bugs tho. One time in bulid mode I have heard a cannon shooting sound and after I clicked 'done' The game said that I have won, without shooting a single bullet.

Cannon looks nice and the controls are good. One thing I would change is to remove that knob from slider. At first I thought that I had to click on it to select strength, instead of it being a time thing.

I like your page description! :) Feedback:
- I feel it needs some sort of in game tutorial to tell you what to do.
- Camera controls were... getting in the way? For example, in build mode, if you rotate the camera and then try to place a cube, your cubes would move in the wrong direction. I would also prefer a trackball style camera control for this game I think.
- More variety! It would be pretty easy to add more shapes with different properties like mass, size, bounciness, etc.
Was pretty fun! Congrats!

This was... wierd.

You are really telling the truth when you say that controls are confusing. I was totally unable to figure out the horizontal aim... though this was totally fine as AI didn't move the target too far from center.

Also the goal of the game is not entirely clear.
