Buuut thanks for the cool entry! Really good work in the compo :)
I couldn´t manage to not got stuck between the green planet and the plate.
You slide very much, and there was no proper feedback at jumping.
But you can see that there was some work in there if I have a look at the enemys.
Keep up the good work, though!
Continue to do games, that's all I can say.
This game reminds me of that.
Good job! Congrats on you Compo!
Other than that I feel like you could've improved the game in a major way with some small changes:
- Have the camera be a bit more behind and above the player
- Make the controls less stiff, it felt like you were using AddForce to move the player. This is fine mostly, but keep in mind that you'd need the right amount of friction to get rid of that sliding feeling
These were my main issues with the game, I hope it's useful to you ;)
As have been mentioned by others, the controls and camera need some tweaking. For instance, it was not clear to me why the jump button stopped responding sometimes, even though I was standing on a surface.
It's a nice idea though. So if you have the time, you should definitely consider experimenting a bit more, and make a post-LD version.
>Jumping between worlds,
>Fleeing from your enemies.
>Collect all the coins!
I think if you put the camera a bit further from the camera and higher (a bit like in Super Mario Galaxy), that would help the player to get more easily into the game. :)
