Really fun, excellently polished game. I love the design of the player character and the music choice fits each level very well. The only real complaint I have with the game is the final level. In some areas the player must jump in front of bullets that they cannot see. (unless I'm missing something.) This just feels unfair and puts a damper on the whole experience. Of course, I don't really play many very punishing platformers so I may just not be used to that style of gameplay.

Overall, amazing work!

(btw I found him in the first two levels :)

Good platforming game with solid cpntrols and music. For me it's a bit annoying to always start the level from the beginning when I die. Beside that, I liked the game. Good Work.

Nice platformer with great music! Well selected colors adds to the feel of the game. Only complaint, as already metioned by TerraCottaFrog, is invisible bullets in last level.

Nice old school platformer/metroidvania with CGA colours. I enjoyed most parts except for perhaps some previously discussed parts of the last level. I appreciated the variable jump height too. Oh and let's not forget that genius swimming animation, so good! :ocean:

Loved this little adventure. I really like your conecpt of "You're right now not ready for this section". Also it was really cool to implement the water and how it would kill you, if you havent got the swim item yet. It just shows the player that he is never save.
Good Game. I'm voting for it.

Solid game - nice platformer with an aesthetic which is really pleasant. It reminds me another game - PinkMan. Fantastic ++

Made it to the last level, really enjoyed it, the repeated mechanics of stopping you from reaching certain areas was nicely done and I liked the level design. I really loved the music, I see it was generated from cg music. Must give that a try. Loved the visual style reminded me of zx spectrum era. Loved it.

Very cool art style, good controls, and non-annoying yet fitting music. Good job!

You have an amazing proof of concept here. I think you should expand it and put it on steam! Yes its that good! Fix the issues that were mentioned and you have a winner here!

Amazing art and music. Controls were tight and very responsive and I loved the characters running animation. I also thought the 2 frame jumping animation was nice touch. Something I've been wanted to put in my games but some how seem to fail to do it correctly. I didn't make it to the last level as others have but I really enjoyed playing what I did. And yes the level design was top notch!

So much goodness packed in for a game made in 48 hours.

Very good game. It has a lot of things my platformer don't have like:
+ Consistent art
+ Power-ups, Metrodvania stuff
+ Good use of screen transitions intead of unnecesary large single screen
+ WebGL export

Solid work. My suggestion? Add a delayed tolerance of 5~10 frames after leaving the floor (using alarms) to still jump, because the jump is too unforgiving by simple checking floor collision. This is the kind of detail that helps speedrunners, for instance.

*P.S.: I am having exporting issues with Game Maker too, are you using built-in Physics?*

Hey I think the game is really cool, nice retro platformer feel to it, and I like the consistency of the design. Also a minor thing but I really like the browser build 'cause downloading can be a pain.

That said I think the game could be improved by adding WASD support, 'cause sometimes the arrow keys can get annoying to use.

Overall it's great though keep it up.

This is pretty much my kind of game, but level 4 was annoying as you can't get the exact timing of bullets on a different screen. Other than that I totally enjoyed it. Thanks for an awesome game!

VERY solid! Super old-school vibe - almost hard to believe it wasn't made a few decades ago. Really fun. Nice job!

Excellent. It is such a treat to play such a complete, polished game. I sat down and saw all the levels and though 'man it feels kinda bad skipping all this content...' but I found myself hooked up until the last level. Well done.

This is a really nice Platformer! I think it fits well with the theme and the audio fits as well.
The graphics are also nice!
You could maybe explain a little better what to do cause at the beginning it seemed quite confusing what to do, But overall a really nice game!

Really well made platformer!

It felt pretty hard at times, but not unfair and not like it was the games fault when you are losing. Some parts are a little hard to look at, as in due to a lot of movement going on (mostly with colors that draw in the eyes more than the colors of the players character) it was difficult to focus on your character.

The physics work really well, I didn't encounter any situation where I felt like I didn't have full control over the player characters movements.
