Cube Disposer is an isometric shooter where you are shooting incoming cubes.

How to play

Kill the cubes that comes. The cubes will leave black blocks after they die and they will block your shots and your path but they will not block the cubes.

Pick up the black blocks and destroy them by dropping them in the shredder in the middle.

If you don't destroy the black blocks you will soon run out of space

Controls

Mouse - Aim

Left mouse button - Fire

WASD - Movement

R - Reload

Q/E - Turn view 90 degrees

Space - Pick up and drop blocks

Notes

I strongly recommend the downloaded version before the WebGL because I have notice that the WebGL version has a some issues with fonts, performance and visuals.

Linux and Mac versions are untested and might not work.

WebGL version to say the least not very tested and optimized.

All around fun! I love the different enemy types, and the idea of mixing gun play with space management. Cute, clean, great.

Really impressive. The work has been focused on the most important areas, solid gameplay and details where needed. Great sound and mechanics and the cubes works great as enemies. The small details, like the particle effects and everything is spot on. Great job

It's a good idea and it's pretty entertaining, but I'd appreciate a button to control the sound, the bullets sound too loud. But good job!

The game has a very nice clean style. The implementation of the theme is really innovative and fun. The only real issue i had was that the early waves was a bit boring. I think a ramp up in difficulty faster would be a good idea. It's basically a lot more fun if you just start from wave 10 immediately. There is also a small bug with the gun which shows that you have 6 ammo but in reality you have 7. Still, overall a very good job!

Overall, this was a surprisingly fun game! The mechanics are solid and the visuals work. Some small changes/fixes would add to the feel (the AI lacking pathfinding made it really easy to get them stuck behind the grinder, and the shotgun actually has 7 shots since the first one doesn't decrease the ammo). Other than that, the gameplay was simple, but fun!

Starts very slow. Like the concept!

I do agree with @gurbx. The game got interesting after the 10th wave.
Difficulty feels just right on waves 10-16. The problem is that the game doesn't give you enough time to cleanup previous waves.

I really enjoyed playing this one, the enemy death mechanic was a nice use of theme, and I liked how you could dispose of corpses. In spite of the use of primitive shapes there was some really nice animation, such as the way burrowing enemies emerge from the ground, and the way the corpses get disposed of. There was good enemy variety, and the reload mechanic was effective for making me manage my ammo. It felt a bit odd that enemies could move through corpses, but I appreciate that the game wouldn't work otherwise. Good job! - Daniel

The idea is quite interesting, really fits the theme. Really wish you polished it at least a little, your game really lacks any juice. Some screenshake/hit effects/flashing would be nice also I'd prefer at least a tiny bit of acceleration/deceleration on the movement.
Tl;dr, game feels too slow. It's an action game, so make it feel like an action game.
Sorry if I'm too harsh on your game btw, I actually enjoyed it, but I just believe real but harsh feedback is better than a bunch of fake fluffed-up compliments.

I don't really know why, but it reminded me of the first 3D games on browser I played when I was a kid. And it's a compliment. I really enjoyed the arcade feel of it and th simple art.
It fits the theme really well.
Maybe a cool old school music would be nice but that's pretty much the only thing i would improve in there. Great work!

Nice idea.

Was able to reach wave 10 from the 1st, and was really surprised of how well the mechanics of grabbing the cubes and dropping them in the shredder work well, very smoothly. I found games where similar process were clunky, which is not your case.

The simple graphics and sounds worked well for the game, providing a clean view and gameplay.

Great job!

I like the simplicity of the game, just a top-down twin-stick wave-shooter, classic! it works. With the prescient corpses making the space more limited and that you now have to manage your shooting time and clearing time is a nice twist, and fits the theme! nice. Love the corpse grinding idea (would have loved to get some points for doing it.)

The graphics are a bit on the simple side with just basic shapes, but it works, and there is at-least some good visual feedback. I had to almost play without sound however, as they where not that great.. the shoot-gun blast was alright, but the grinding noise was hard to listen too.

I think the game sadly takes a bit long to "get-going", especially as the shooting mechanic is as simple as it is, and with the enemies just ignoring the corpses while moving really limits how many enemies you can spawn at ones before it becomes impossible, you missed a perfect opportunity for the player to use the corpses to create there own "level"/defences if the enemies had to go around them.

Not a bad concept! Good work.

Nice idea. Sometimes, I shot cubes but didn't hit them despite being pretty sure that I aimed right; the game seems to be pretty picky about the exact angle. And after I was killed, I clicked on 'restart' by accident (still shooting), thus I don't know my score. A short(!) cooldown would be helpful here.
I like the animation of the cubes being crushed

This is a great game! I perticularly like the animations and particles of when the cubes are being crushed. Some features worth adding are a pause screen and some bgm as the shooting noise gets repetitive quite quickly

I got to wave 14, and that was the stage where I actually felt I was running out of room. A good example of minimalist assets still making something entertaining. I was about to call it quits when the first 4-block showed up, which surprised me after seeing the same opponents for a while. The gunshots sounded a little harsh. Nice work!

Fun game with interesting idea! Is the Q and E mechanic only for changing camera view or does it affect actual gameplay, because I haven't been using it that often? Overall really nice entry!

This was really fun! The audio and visuals were really satisfying too. At first I thought running out of space wasn't going to be a problem worth worrying about, but past level 10 is definitely was. I appreciated that you gave options for restarting at later levels, as skipping the slower early levels (which are necessary when you play for the first time) makes replaying the game much more enjoyable.

If I had to give a criticism, it would be that there seems to be a point at which you cannot defeat all the enemies even when spending all your time shooting them. It would be nice if playthroughs were able to last longer somehow.

Very fun, and the audio was very satisfying the way it is paired with the game play. 5/5

Fun game. You should use some pathfinding mechanics for the enemies. They can be stuck in the middle of the map. Maybe try to add another level with two shredders.

I really like the concept! The animation for them being chewed up is pretty satisfying. I wish I had a faster shooting weapon or something to make the game more fast paced. I feel if you made the shredder work faster, add a machine gun, possibly add enemy colliding with dead blocks (and if they try to enter the field and it's full, game over as well), it would make the game hectic fun! Overall, nice job! :D

This was pretty fun! The animations and sound effects made it really satisfying :) Got to wave 13 from the first, never thought I'd be afraid of cubes haha. The variety of the enemies made it really interesting too! I realised I never actually used Q/E, though I'm not sure if that would've changed anything xD
