Summary

When all of a sudden an epidemic breaks out on board, you will be needed to steer the ship through a barrage of asteroids and agressive alien ships.

However due to this epidemic the amount of humans is exponentially increasing. Although this would normally be a good thing, in this case it is happening in an iron box in space.

To be able to keep control over the ship you must maintain the amount of humans on-board, this can be adjusted through sacrifices. By airlocking them that is.

Controls

WASD keys -- Move ship

Left Mouse Button -- Shoot

Right Mouse Button -- Sacrifice

Tools

Created with my own engine, Lynx2D.

Sounds created using BFXR.

Art created using Adobe Photoshop CC.

Let me know what you think of it and have fun!

(PS. Sometimes an enemy ship takes no damage, this is an unfortunate bug)

The game looks quite nice, but, as for me, controls are not "responsive" enough and it is pretty hard to understand everything at first launch.

The core mechanic was interesting and fits well to the theme! I think the game flow would feel better if there was more variation to number/types of enemies as your score goes up.
If only I could've blown up those asteroids :D

The theme was implemented in a really cool way! As someone else said, the gamefeel could be better with some extra details, but overall it's a fun game! The writing was also very funny!

As BinaryLynx I totally approve the engine you are using as it empowered you to create such a wonderful peace of art! High scores and firm handshakes xD

Really great core mechanic.

The gameplay was a bit random. Sometimes I could shoot a huge asteroid out of my way and sometimes a tiny one wouldn't budge. Sometimes I could kill an enemy in one hit and sometimes it took a hundred.

I could imagine there being a lot more things linked to the population size (bullet spread, bullet size, hull repair, etc).

Now excuse me while I throw myself out an airlock again.

Very cool for a custom engine, nice intro as well, the gameplay was a bit hard to get hang of though

Fun game, nice work with your engine!
Projectiles and smaller asteroids were a bit hard to see due to the pace, might help if the star background was toned down.

fun little game! I enjoyed the balancing act of keeping enough men to fire fast, but also not slow down. Definitely fits the theme. The graphics are very nice

Very interesting mechanic!

I think I struggled with being able to expel people fast enough to keep my ship moving. I may just be really bad at the game, though.
