Intro

This game is about a Nino's adventure on claiming THE CROWN. Dogs and weird creatures, desperate for any meat they could find, are waiting for Nino coming right into their mouths.

Fortunately, all human being can be Nino's servants, that they are willingly to do anything for this young beautiful cat, including giving up their own flesh & blood... Will Nino try to protect as many servants as she can? Or, the servants are just worthless that can be sacrificed for THE CROWN? It's your choice

Gameplay

  • Nino can 'collect' human as servants
  • Nino can eliminate any foe with a cost of 1 hit point (5 points in total)
  • Servants are in different weights, and every foe has a number of desirable weights of meat. Yes, foes are not satisfied until they are fed with enough weights of human flesh (I'm really sick...) To ask servants sacrifice themselves, click the Go button on servant's card
  • Servants can feed Nino with tiny fish, which will recover Nino for 1 hit point. But not all servants have fish in his/her pocket. To feed Nino, click the Feed button on servant's card

Tools

  • Godot3
  • Aseprite
  • Photoshop
  • sfxr

Known Issues

  • In HTML5 version, servants and foes will flash for seconds when they collide. I have no idea how it happens.
  • I just learned Godot like 72 hours ago, so this game is not quite complete as I spent too much time on researching the engine...Sorry
  • Mac & Linux port will be offered as soon as I got my energy back :(

Cat is the ruler of the world!!
The animations in this game are smooth and nice. Also, the Kumamoto bear's eating face is hilarious😂

However, to be honest, I think your entry is a bit lack of content,
I was pretty excited when I saw the gif in the intro (nice gif!) but that's almost all the gameplay is about.

btw I don't feel guilty at all when I give the GO order which maybe good because I guess that's the what the Cats feel😂😂😂

One more thing, I am not sure is it my problem but when I play in Web version, the human bounce and lag for around a second when they hit the foes. The downloadable version is fine.

@goldranger Super thanks for you honest feedback! I had ambitions in this Ludum Dare. I have to admit, however, that the final work turns out to be :poop:... I didn't manage my time very well and learned the whole Godot engine in 72 hours, which is definitely not a wise decision. Hope everything goes well next time :smile_cat:

I've noticed the HTML version's issue as well. Probably caused by Godot's particle system. I'll do some research and try to have it fixed. Thanks!

art and concept are really good and the game is well polished
Maybe the gameplay can be improved with a bit more of incertitude and just compare weight of target and human
And the game is too easy for me

Any way it fit perfectly the theme and with humour

good job

Hey! Congrats on the entry!

What I liked the most:
- The overall gameplay and concept, unusual and creative!
- The animation of the men running towards the dogs, its hilarious

What could improve:
- The lack of sound and a goofy track really impact the overall experience, but that's compo, right?
- There were times that I basically had no choice (but most of the times I was doing some sort of resource management);
- The graphics would be more appealing if you had maintained the same pixel density across the scenario and characters.

That's it, congrats again for the funny entry! Cheers!

Interesting idea. The animation and the graphic makes me want to laugh. Although the level is relatively simple, its a good game after all.

@maskinmask 2333我觉得我现在越来越扭曲,已经没有正常的设计思路了😂😂
