Horror House is a short Point and Click Turn Based Strategy-ish game about two friends exploring a haunted house in order to find a baseball.

You control Mickey and TED individually, with the GUI only showing information relating to the one you're currently controlling. The game is controlled by choosing something in the GUI by scrolling to choose an action and shift+scrolling to choose an item in your inventory, and then clicking in the world.

You can also skip turns with tab and move the camera with the arrow keys.

What are the key bindings? I clicked to move however I couldn't do anything other than walk. HELP!

@Brent Scrolling and shift+scrolling moves the little pointers in the GUI, that's how you choose what to do

Awesome game, but took me some time to figure out the controls. In the beginning I thought Mickey stands in a puddle of blood. After I figured out how to play, it was very logical, although the scrollwheel interface needs getting used to. I absolutely love the music of the game, how did you compose this to be so awesome? I also love the graphics, but I'm a retro fanboy, so that's nothing to wonder about. Doing the fights with the zombies was a bit cumbersome, also sometimes you could attack them diagonally, sometimes not.

@Frodewin Thanks for playing! Most of the music was randomly generated using a program called cgMusic, it's free but requires a pair of dll files that windows no longer comes with.

Thanks! I just downloaded it from http://codeminion.com/blogs/maciek/2008/05/cgmusic-computers-create-music/ and it ran without asking for DLLs under Windows 10.

Neat concept! I included it in my Ludum Dare 41 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrZuBymYcB4

Great game!
I loved the graphics, the audio and the game feels overall. I wish there where some way to play it only with the keyboard. I don't know why exactly, maybe because the retro looks.
I really think this could become a bigger game with a nice plot.
Congratulations! Super strong entry!
