Great Game, but enemys are hard to beat.

I like the little details you put in the game. The initial pictures setting up the story and the punny comments the skeleton makes from time to time really gives the game character.

@MoistGames Thanks for the kind words, we love that you appreciate the characters and the theme!

@Dovena Thanks!

@GeroX Thanks, we had a hard time figuring out how to balance the game. In some versions the enemies were way too easy and in others the enemies were way too hard. We tried to find a good balance by scaling up the enemy level and count with how many friends you've made since the more friends you have the more love you generate and therefore the more upgrades you could buy. I think it starts out good but towards the end it can get really hard. There is an ending scene if you reach 300 friends and if we want anyone to see it we'll need to tone down the difficulty towards the higher friend counts.

@Diego Escalante Thanks, its nice to know that the pictures did a good job of setting up the story and we are glad to here that you like the main character and his skele-ton of puns!

I guess you could say he had no BODY to celebrate his birthday with! Eh? Because he- ah whatever.

Fun little game with nice art, especially on the intro 'cutscene'. The voice acting was a nice touch.

Overall quite light on 'game' but there were two genres and they did feel a bit incompatible - especially when I was groping for the shop button while trying hard not to die!

Just an FYI I think I encountered a bug - I think the 'origin' point of the first sword upgrade is misaligned, as the pommel rested neatly in skelly's crotch region.

No bones about it though, overall a skullful game with enough challenge to rattle the bone box. Well presented and characterful. A decent entry!

@Articulated9 Thanks for the kind words and puns! We did run into this bug when testing after submitting which made the game extremely difficult since the sword hitbox does not extend further than the skeleton hitbox. In order to get around this I found that it works really well if you jump and stand still over the enemy, the sword hit box will then hit them first, allowing you to get to the next upgrade. I have already looked into this bug and I believe it will be a simple fix and we should have an update out by tomorrow!

Yeah, run into the same bug. But the game feels great! nice gameplay, idea, humor and execution. Good job.

P.S. Sir, your voice acting are splendid! Especially the woman's voice))

Bugged out sometimes like when I bought the sword, it spawned on my feet and made it way harder to hit people.

Cute story and funny sound effects, could use more polishing.

@Petro Shoferystov We fixed the bug this morning and the first sword upgrade should now be working as intended. Thanks for the kind words on the voice acting, we thought they were pretty good too XD

@GiovanniBarrottu Yep, that bug should now be fixed, thanks for liking our story and sound effects, we hope to polish the game more and introduce some concepts that we were not able to in the short amount of time.

@Waraiko The bug should be fixed now! Thanks for liking our game!

@SMILEY_4_ Thanks!

@Marcial Thanks! I'll be sure to look at yours!

@Re-Markable Thanks for liking our game! We are pretty proud of the sound effects and we couldn't stop laughing while making them XD

Ha Ha :laughing: That was great fun. Why can't I rate the audio? It was great. I cracked up at the first horse going "neigh". I finally bought everything from the shop, but stopped playing shortly after that as there didn't seem like there was any more to it. Good stuff :8ball:

A simple and clear concept, executed very well to boot! The voices add a good bit of character (*dyyying... sounds!*), and the intro screens are a very nice addition to introduce the game with.

Graphically there are some inconsistencies with scaling. There are big blown-up pixels visible in the background, but the skeleton is scaled differently, while the intro screens are in HD. I would prefer uniformity in that regard. Because of how fast things move, I couldn't read the speech bubbles most of the time unless I stopped. The shovel and swords didn't have a black outline while the other character art did.

The death-noices had a bit of lag on them, and some of the jumping enemies got stuck inside of my skeleton and was all kinds of awkward. Some more items to buy would've been welcome.

All in all you made a fun game!
