Gameplay wise, the idea is great and fits the jam theme. Even though I lost some runs due to bad luck, I was able to complete the game on my fourth try. The game is quite punishing especially when the movement is often a bit clunky. The character may or may not keep moving after certain actions which makes deaths sometimes unavoidable.
I still felt that playing was quite smooth. It was fun to plan ahead what cards to keep when you started to learn the map. Usually I wanted to save movement+front jump combo. I never actually wanted to use backwards movement or jumping so maybe that is something that could have been taken into account in level design.
Overall, aesthetically very cool game. With some more work on mechanics and level design it could be a pretty neat game.
Thanks also for taking the time to play it through, I know it can be a bit frustrating :D
