Bazzoccer by Invixel
About the making of the game
This is my attempt at making something playable for this jam. On the first day I miserably failed everything i tried to do so I didn't actually get started with this project until the second day of the jam. I didn't spend as much time as I did the last two times i participated but this time I'm just happy i managed to make something!
About the actual game
This is a physics based 2D soccer with (elements from shooters?). I know the link to the theme is kinda weak but hey it's something.
About the controls of the game
Controls are what you'd expect. A and D to walk, SPACE to jump, mouse to aim and shoot. Also, R to restart! To exit the windows version its alt + f4.

Jumping with space rather than W to match A/D was a bit awkward in a 2D game.
And I wish the projectiles had more of an effect on the characters as well.
1. Yes, i should have written a little text explaining the R to restart somewhere in game.
2. For me it feels more natural to have it at space even in 2D but perhaps it's just me.
3. Definetly would have been fun to rocket juggle the opponent but i simply didn't have enough time or energy to fix it, but otherwise good suggestion! :smile:
Very fun even though the A.I. wiped the floor with me! And I have to say I disagree with @YinYin and think the A/D space movement is perfect for this kind of game.
Well done!
Yeah i know i should've created a soundtrack, i did for my last 2 games

However, this time I simply did not have enough time to. I did not get anything done on saturday and though I had planned to submit it to compo I had to work on it monday evening to get it done. That is also partly why the graphics are so bad, i am not good enough of a programmer to have time left for that kind of stuff!
Thanks for the suggestions anyway, I appreciate it and it would be very helpful if this was my first jam!
@ghostmaple
I don't know how it turned out so well, it is the first AI i've ever written and it's actually just a few simple rules. The fun part is, the AI isn't even doing what i intended it do do when i designed it! But hey it somehow works so why change it?
