My submission for Ludum Dare 43.

A tower defense game where sacrificing towers unlocks progression. You start out with a few traps, then gain 2 every round. Traps can be placed to harm the enemies as they pass through them. But as the waves get more and more difficult, you may want to sacrifice some traps for greater towers and weapons. Or you can fill the entire map with traps, you decide the strategy!

Features: - Four maps (1 easy, 2 medium, 1 hard) - Five towers/weapons (including traps) - Single enemy that gets stronger every wave - Music and sound - And more...

Controls: LMB : Interact with HUD, place weapons, select buttons/options, etc. RMB : Cancel weapon placement, exit shop. Escape Key : Exit to menu.

I like the art and the music. The gameplay was good. I was able to get a circle saw by placing all the traps near the start of the level (maybe because I played medium) and sacrificed after I placed. It really wiped out the next few waves.

My only suggestion is make more variety of traps off the bat. Good incorporation of sacrifices though it made the game more interesting :)

Fun game, I think it would help if traps could be moved by dragging them with the mouse so that redesigning the layout in between levels would be easier.
Also adding some kind of way to add obstacles that the enemies need to go around would make layouts a bit more interesting.
