"Welcome to the Arena, Mage."

Battle hordes of the undead with your mage fire in an ethereal battle arena designed to test your self control. The more you use your powers the more heat you build up, when the heat hit's a certain level it will damage you.

Works with Keyboard/Mouse and Xbox 360 controller (at least mine, will build with more options later) Controls are explained in game.

The game is quite challenging to play, I like it. Though I would have preferred to have some sound effects and it is really quiet. Overall, you could make this into a full game if you brushed up the controls.

Mouse sensitivity is way too low. Audio cues would help a lot but there aren't any. Maybe I just didn't get far enough but some sort of progression (like new spells or upgrades) would be nice, since playing 50 waves of the same thing isn't really fun. But overall pretty fun game to kill some time

My Pros:
I really like the animation of the hands. That looks cool.
Nice to have 2 different spells
My Cons:
the cool down mechanic didn work on my computer. The animaton did work but i wasnt healed.
It was a bit too laggy and the lack of sound is sad.

I liked the concept, found the skeletons a little hard to distinguish due to lighting/arena colour similarities.

I really enjoyed playing this game but without sound effects it was a little weird also it's hard to notice the skeletons but beside that it's still fun :D

Awesome game, it's got a really quake-y vibe to it. Love it! SFX and music would have been icing on the cake, but kudos on an otherwise amazing entry!

I loved the art style and graphics. Best graphics I've seen so far! Gameplay was fun with no real flaws. Overall, a great entry!

Neat game. But there is soooo much waiting. I have like 15 minutes to play and rate games before work. Waiting for a slooow text scroll and 30 seconds between enemy spawns is just too much. I think there might be something here. Speeding up the game could make it more engaging. And to a degree, more strategical.
Besides that, very well put together! Good job.

Nice game. I liked the graphics and the feel of the game, but it was really quite and there was also no real progession.

The graphics of this game were really good, as were the core gameplay and concept. Having to balance the healing and fighting was great and quite unique. I don't want to sound like a broken record, after looking at the other feedback, but some audio would have made it much more enjoyable. I also think a bit more variety would be fantastic, more spells and more enemies, even having a skill tree where you could unlock spells (but due to time restrictions I understand that would be difficult). I appreciate the effort that went into making 50 waves, but after running around blasting the same billboarded enemies for 10 waves, I started to lose attention. However I am sounding very negative, the graphics worked really well, and the HUD was an easier indicator for my spell limit, with the skull providing nice visual reference. I also enjoyed the particles for the flame thrower, they made it hard to know what the hitbox was but who cares, they were pretty. Overall a pretty nice effort, which with time I feel could be improved and expanded.

Haha great minds think alike! We both did arenas with fire mages as the main character, and on top of that, we both had fireball and flamethrower as our two attacks. Kudos to you my Ludum Dare brother. I'm digging the Doom aesthetic.

Great concept, atmosphere, and interesting graphics. Like other say, the lack of music and sound effects heavily reduce the immersion in the game. Anyhow, great starting point, keep up the good work!

Loved the concept, unfortunately the lack of sound effects or music was a shame cause the game felt good. I loved the Doom like feel. Good start keep it up!
