Cool game! I like how you have some choice in the way the level takes form as you complete the jigsaw. It's definitely difficult, I made it to the third level. I would perhaps like to have a bit more space to maneuver, it felt a bit cramped; especially since I had to keep looking to the side to see what kind of piece I got. I would like to be able to see the form of the piece better before I collect it, but since it's pixelated I can't really tell. Anyway, good idea, and a great challenge, well done :)

That was awesome. The jigsaw mechanics and the evasion mechanics actually work together really well. As the arena gets larger, so too does the number of enemies, but also the number of places you can place pieces decreases, so you have to pay more and more attention to the pieces you can place. This culminates in a mad rush at the end when you can place pieces very fast, but the screen is covered in enemies.

Overall, great job! Would love to see this idea of building the arena expanded upon further.

The game looks awesome.
The mix is quite interesting, and I'd really like to see it developed further.
The graphics weren't the best part (even though they are not that bad) but the fun was really here. I think that's a solid entry, with a lot of innovation!

Very original concept. The placing of the pieces is a little bit weird, but nothing that can't be solved.

@Shivur thanks for your comment! What do you mean by "little bit weird"? Is it the controls or the shape of the pieces...?

Well they place automatically even if it's not where you want them to go. A simple drag and drop can do the work.

Wow. I spend too much time on this one. Really nice, although it becomes hard quickly. I feel that the bounciness of the frog makes the game harder, which was not required. Having some kind of preview of the piece in place might help too, because you can't really look far away from the frog for long. It was fun anyway.

Wow, I really enjoyed playing this. It's very difficult to not die in the later levels, but it's very fun. Although the game's graphics are kinda goofy, I think it adds to the overall aesthetic.

Unfortunately, the music did not play on my browser (Google Chrome), but at least I got to hear it through the videos. Nonetheless, I was very impressed by the concept of the game and had tons of fun simultaneously scanning and dodging. Awesome game!

if this game doesn't win the fun or innovative or theme category, I will be greatly saddened!! great entry!

It was fun! Weird looking but solid gameplay. A bit too difficult but I enjoyed a lot the first two levels.

@jcgamedev, did you get any sound at all or was just the music missing? I assume you are on Windows? We are missing some sound ratings, but we cannot reproduce the problem. Do you see anything on the Javascript console?

Hey, this was pretty gun and quite innovative. I saw a health meter, but I didn't notice a lives counter. If it wasn't there, then it would be a good thing to have. If it was, I just missed it, so maybe that is something to keep in mind.

Nice concept, not a fan of the jetpack movement of the frog. I would have preferred something grid based and less slippery. That's mostly just because there is not a lot of space on each piece to actually move around to dodge. The controls would be less of an issue if the play space on each piece just gave more room probably. Great entry guys.

Really enjoyed this! Great prototype! Like how you have to keep track of the frog and try to figure out the next piece at the same time. Some feedback, not sure if the fireballs are needed or what they add to the game play. Great entry folks!

This was a really creative idea. The game was too hard for me but it was really fair and fun. Trying to find the right place to put the puzzle while dodging stuff was really challenging at times. The music didn't work for me in chrome but I did listen to it in your video and I think it sounds really good.

@mrchippy,

Thanks for the nice feedback!

We just discovered that CHROME IS NOW DISABLING AUDIO by default! (It was working OK when we published the game..)

So that's why we're low on audio ratings - we need more to get rated at all on audio (a lot of other people are in the same boat I suppose)...

If you didn't already rate us on audio it would be great if you would (using another browser than Chrome you'll get the music and game sounds..)

Big thanks!

Did you submit a game yourself? I didn't find one....
I'm searching using our LD41 SEARCH FUNCTION at http://tmtg.nl/ld41/
If you did, let us know your game URL and we'll take a look ...

@jcgamedev,

Latest version of CHROME IS NOW DISABLING AUDIO - we only just found out... that's why you didn't hear the music and game sounds (and probably why we and who knows how many others are under threshold on audio ratings :( )

If you didn't already rate us on audio it would be awesome if you could have a go on another browser and add an audio rating...

I'm gonna take a look at Hopscotch today... Good luck!

The game is quite fun and frustrating! It is well thought-out, though I wish the enemies were a little easy on me... Great game!

Finally had the time to test the game as promised, you have also managed to get 20 ratings, good job!

I liked this enty, it had an interesting idea and was executed well. It was fun to see the background forming as you progressed with the jigsaw puzzle. It is difficult for sure, but not too difficult, after a few tries I started to get a hang of it.

Great job!

Equals parts fun and frustrating, in general it feel like there's not much you can do to avoid getting hit by the bouncing enemies and firing behind you wasn't intuitive. Overall, it's still enjoyable though.
