Danger Forever by BLK Dragon
Infinite shoot'em-up.
Your ship is constantly running out of power -- even flying costs a lot of energy, let alone bumping into obstacles or being hit by enemy fire. Power restoration orbs are scarce and enemies are plentiful.
This is Danger Forever.
Controls : cursor-arrows to move, Z or Ctrl to shoot.
Please do not press other random buttons -- some debug/unimplemented stuff may cause game to crash.

P.S. You have to play other games and rate them in order to have rating for yours. Good luck!
This could certainly evolve into a post - jam game with vertical movement as well, I'd like to see that! I recorded some gameplay as well ;) should I keep you informed?e
I'll definitely evolve this prototype into 'proper' game later.
The environment graphics are very dull and gray indeed. The ground texture especially repeats a lot. Not a graphics person me, so can't give you any advice there unfortunately.
Found a :bug: I hit one of the breakable walls and instead of it breaking the ship moved upwards and stayed above the action for the rest of the run. Could not pick up any energy there so it is not a very effective cheat, too bad!
Ok entry this. Could use some polish, graphical mostly.
@blk-dragon
Meant to say dull and brown; the old brain is jamming again. Apart from the environment there sure is color. I also forgot to say that the enemy robot model is quite a looker. No worries!
But i enjoyed the parts i was able to play, i loved your 3d art and the the recoil of a hit :D

I ran into some weirdness, and I think it's what was causing the problem for @mamoniem. As I was trying to figure out controls, I naturally went to WASD first and tried all the keys on the left-hand side. Unfortunately, there were a number of keys that just caused the game to immediately crash, including left shift and 'w'. If I hadn't stumbled upon using the arrows and ctrl keys next, I'd probably have gotten frustrated and not rated the game (would have left a comment saying why, of course).
All that said, I did like the game. Graphics were good, although, as you mention above, they were really repetitive (particularly if you play for more than a couple of minutes). Sounds were exactly what I wanted. Gameplay was rough at times, but since there was a quick restart and it was meant to be a short-run game, it was okay. If I thought a particular run was too difficult and not fun, it didn't last long anyway and I got another run right after. So that was alright.
Overall, this is exactly what I expected going in and I played enough to get a score over a million, so that tells you that I enjoyed it.
I should've written controls in description and tell NOT to press any other random buttons :)
Otherwise fine entry though, the controls felt good and overall aesthetic was decent.
Controls are: arrows to move, `Z` or `Ctrl` to shoot.
It is also very addictive and controls well. My only suggestion is that the enemies should drop energy when killed. In this version, shooting things is pretty pointless, only reduce your energy (in my opinion, of course).
Currently, shooting stuff is only for points -- which is not entirely pointless :)
First up i gotta say the audio is pretty good, nice sound design and soundtrack! They blend very well into the game and also has some variation to it.
The gameplay feels good, the enemies bullets and your own have a good hitbox. You feel in control and with enough skill are capable of dodging bullets.
The enemies ship hitbox might be a bit large however.
There is one issue i have with the controls, there is a penalty to slowing your forward momentum (which is fine). But, you aren't able to move sideways as fast as before, rendering the slowdown obsolete since you also have to pay some fuel.
It's just not worth doing.
Exploding rocks? YES!
The graphics are nice, and the terrain of the level is making it fun to play.
Sometimes the ship gets stuck facing one direction after being hit by an enemy, which feels weird.
The environment is mostly boulders, but since their placement is making the gameplay more interesting, i don't mind a lack of variety in terrain.
Overall, it's really good. All the art and gameplay merge very well. Good Job!
Beautiful 3D graphics. Fluid and clear. Fun to play. Music not bad, but
Could have helped more effort in the level design, because as it is I got bored of it after 5 minutes of play.
I managed 1,390,000 but for some reason, I was always shooting too high up and the enemies were shooting too low, getting more and more noticeable the longer the game went :D
Oh, and BTW enemy weapon range is smaller than player's -- so combat is somewhat "fair" :)
I would recommend taking a bit of time to remove all the crashes, though -- such things can be a huge turnoff.
It'll really be great to see it become a full game one day, so please gimme moar of this good stuff :3
yeah definitely take it further, nice one.
Sometimes my ship tilted a bit and I didn't know why. Tried playing it in fullscreen, but everything looked strange (ship was misplaced, for example), but overall, the playing experience was really nice!
Good job there!
