HiThis is my first time participating in such event, also my first time working on 2D game in Unity3D (damn you OnTriggerEnter2D!)
The theme of LD43 is "Sacrifices must be made" - I've had some ideas, like - you sacrifice time spent with family/loved ones for work/drinking/watching videos etc. But I didn't know how to transform that idea into game.. So the game I created in the end is kinda darker.. With more blood and death. Yet maybe it's less depressing that the "time sacrifice" game.
The game is kinda gory.. so if you are not into that, don't play it.
I haven't had too much time to create this game (for sure not 72 hours :(), this was my first jam, my preparations were sh1tty at best (my fault!) and I have used assets (graphics, music, sounds) made by others.
I will add links to 3rd party work soon! (When I get some sleep) !

@clayrok thanks!
Anyhow, great little game!
The "sacrifice yourself to solve puzzles" mechanic is nice. Backtracking can get repetitive when you just have to go back to the same place you already were though, but that can be solved with stuff like checkpoints.
The graphics and sound matched well, something I like to praise because it's actually harder to get the game to look good with assets you didn't make (like when you can't find the assets you need with artstyles that match) than when you make them yourself.
I'd only suggest to not rely too much on Unity's physics engine for platformers. Raycasting and OverlapBox/Sphere gives you more control over certain points that are much harder to get right with just RB and colliders (moving platforms for example. They are an old nemesis XP).
Anyway, great work for such a short time and while by yourself.
@yureiokami Thank you for your long review. Checkpoints - idea was, when you die on puzzle, it will activate moving platform that acts as a "new way to go", PLUS, a shortcut to the place where you have died. (well except the first puzzle, that doesnt work that way :)).
Art - wow thanks, you are totally right, finding assets that "work" together was a challenging task and.. I kinda that I just got lucky :/ Next time I'll probably create my own graphical assets (to challenge myself more).
2DEngine - The moving platforms! Yes! I was very surprised that they don't work as expected :D I googled for solutions, cause I was running out of time, and I decided to skip it and just add two little "rails" to the side-moving platforms :D /Hack
@akusan I'm super glad that you like the atmosphere! I really tried to pick the assets to create something "dark", and with limited GFX assets to pick from, I kinda focused on sounds.. dark music, evil/ghosty sounds, there is even a heartbeat sounds, active all the time, it just more noticeable (and beats faster) as your HP goes down. same goes for the vignette effect when you're low on HP, and with more souls collected, the screen gets grainier.
Thank you for playing my game, I am so glad that you like it!
@rafael-lontra glad you liked it!!!!! It can get confusing, thats for sure. I should've included minimap :D
