In fact, I started the jam with another idea, but after one day in, I put it aside and start with this one !\r\n\r\nControls :\r\n- Use only right and up arrow key to play !\r\nSpecial keys :\r\n- M to mute\/unmute music\r\n- R to restart a level\r\n- Escape to quit\r\n\r\nSo Right in the wood is a classic top down racing game, but the main feature is : you can ony accelerate and turn right ! This way, the race becomes harder and a kind of fun. I found this very interesting, so I tried to push as far as I could on the level design (even if I would have done more levels).\r\n\r\nList time !\r\n\r\nThings I liked doing this game :\r\n- The car physics\r\n- The vector graphics\r\n- Setting author times\r\n- Level design ! (except for level 5, I didn't have more time to make it better)\r\n\r\nThings I wish I could add in the game :\r\n- Online and local leaderboard\r\n- More level\r\n- More level mechanics (like jumping across a river)\r\n- Difficulty levels with different cars (I implemented it, but I didn't have the time to create the selection screen ...)\r\n\r\nThis game was created with :\r\n- GameMaker\r\n- Illustrator and Photoshop\r\n- SFXR\r\n\r\n\r\nIn the end, I really enjoyed create this game, and more than that, playing it and try to beat my own records !
