I think a tutorial would really help new players.
Fell in love with the game, its fun and very addictive.
This minimalistic style fits the game really well.
Cool that you used two interpretations of running out of space, and this game really has the sci-fi feel to it, it was great. The visuals for the ground and builds could be bigger!
Nevertheless, when I got a hang of the game it was quite nice and addictive, and quite some potential.
Overall, good job.
I was very suprised that building the engine was not the last step but a lot of work was still needed to end the game
It's really satisfying to discover new building/functionality and adapt accordingly.
The main drawback to me is the lack of speed up option. Once you managed to set up a durable "city" it's rather boring to wait for the next building/research (I'm writing this review while the game is running in the background :,) )
As for tutorial, I must agree with the other reviews, a little explanation of the basics features wouldn't have hurt.
Gratz for the submission !
At the end I just sold every lab and factory and boosted my way to Earth by going so fast I nearly missed the whole milky way lol :p
A well-rounded incremental game with tight resources balancing, good job !
I'd suggest to add on houses a "pop/tick" explanation somewhere.
Also, is there something to gain from further "alien culture" after antimatter, or only science bonus ? It's hard to know when to stop researching ^^
I also do wonder how the oxygen use was calculated... i guess some later buildings needs oxygen too but i never guess why or how.
As for the game – I usually dislike cookie-clicker-type games. I think part of the reason I dislike them is that even though you have setbacks whenever you make an investment, you know that ultimately it is worth it and you will get your money (or cookies or whatever) back given a bit of time. There is no challenge to it. With your game, I felt my resources were a bit more important and so I was reluctant e.g. to mine out a lot of the space, reluctant to nuke the hives, etc. Not knowing what was coming next was great, it had a bit of discovery to it.
Apart from that, the graphics are cute enough, nice to see the progression as you level up your tech.
Nice game :)
