The sacrifice seemed over the top, getting the mace seemed like it was 90% of my health. The range on the tongue is also pretty short, but I guess that is on purpose to force the sacrifice. I loved the artwork and the tongue action, it was impressive what you put together with such simple forms. A little banjo music seems like it would have worked with the frog motif. I also seemed to die really easily. Seems there needs to be some balancing, but I liked the fact I was saving tadpoles. Overall it was a nice experience.

Thanks for the feedback @dk5000p! I double checked what was going on with the sacrifice health amount, and it turns out it was doubling it. I uploaded fixes for that, thanks for pointing it out!

Lovely game! I loved how the tutorials were built into the environment. The divergent paths you can take with the different weapons add some replay value. Only problem I ran into is that I couldn't break down fences after I picked up the gun, haha.

So yeah, the tongue breaks the fences but the gun does not. Was that in the notes? I didn't read it well enough. I love the scuffed sounds from getting damaged. It fits so well here. Not a dig at all. I'm serious. I all seems to work together really well. Mouse did not stay inside of the window when in full scene. Cursor.lockstate = CursorLockMode.Confined; Or use Cursor.lockstate = CursorLockMode.Locked;

@ruthiepee thanks for the kind words! i should have made some indication that the gun vs fence was intentional

@jdelaay025johnd1788 thanks for the tip! This was my first Unity game - I'll definitely use that if I have mouse control in the future.

Very cute game and i really like the aesthetics and physics of the game. When I got the gun, I couldn't open the fences of the little frogs. Was that intentional? But looks like was able to save frogs in the end because it showed a total of 18 frogs saved.

Thanks for sharing your fun little entry!

The camera lags behind the player, it's difficult to see what's ahead. The fences explode in a satisfying way.

I really like this. The art was great and the perspective was strange but I was really into it. I liked the sacrifice mechanic too and could see that being really cool used repeatedly if the game was developed further. Only issue I had was the mouse was a little annoying since it wasn't locked close to the character it made aiming inconsistent and you could leave the screen with the mouse but that is really minor. Very good job!
