About

Discharge is a top down, wave based shooter with a focus on stressful and tight situations. It also requires resource management skills and a degree of strategic planning in order to keep your power from running out. Almost all mechanics affect the amount of power you have left in some way.

I highly recommend going through the tutorial, don't worry it's short.

Also please note that the music was not made by the team, it was downloaded from the web. See the readme for more information.

Warning

There is a known bug that the game will "blink" on startup. To fix this you can use ALT-TAB. I have not been able to reproduce this bug on my computer. If you are prone to seizures it would probably be a good idea to skip this game.

Download

To run the game, simply download the zip, extract it, read the readme, and enjoy!

this game are nice. but i dont get the idea that your hero start every way in defferent place. it tooks some seconds to realise where you stay. Music are good too! but it's lacking of more difference units

I had blinkings too but it stopped when I did alt+tab twice.
Good game anyway, good job! I like the controls, and it is overall quite a cute design :)

Ah yeah, alt+tab worked for me too. You guys should probably look into resolving that if you can, it's pretty obnoxious and potentially seizure inducing if someone sensitive plays that.

On the game though, it was a lot of fun. There were some parts of the music that got pretty repetitive, but overall the music was nice. The graphics were also well done, and the game play was enjoyable.

The movement felt pretty floaty and unnatural, so I think that probably could have used a bit more work. Also after a wave, I lost my location and ended up spending the first few seconds searching for the character to start the next wave.

Simple and effective, I like it.

I noticed that sometimes it didn't shoot where I was aiming, it made me miss several times. I don't know if that was intended, just reporting it in case it wasn't.
