The SFX may be from bxfr, but they fit very nicely. It's unfortunate there is no music. Would've really pushed this to a new level.
The gameplay is simple, but very fun because of the great graphics and smooth animations. Shooting feels amazing and your hits have so much impact. I love it. You didn't hit the theme with the most originality, but it's in there, so I won't complain.
I really had a lot of fun with this and it just goes to show how a nice presentation can make a huge difference - even for game jams. Really awesome work.
The difficulties is just right! you need to be good to use the "E" and "S". It takes me lots of death to get good at it!
Really want to play some more stage but it's a compo game so that is enough! Great Job!
@brent Thank you!!! Glad you liked it :D
@thorneto @nikrt Thank you! Generally I feel like I don't want to put too much time into working on the sound since it isn't my area of expertise and there is only so much you can do in 48 hours. So I make do with effects generated with bfxr, which I think turned out decent. I still think it's important with good sound and to make music is something I'm definitely planning to learn for the next one!
@zelos Thank you! Means a lot! I really liked your last LD38 game!
@pedrowzee The zombies are enthusiastic volleyball players and sometimes they get a little carried away. Sorry about that.
@goldranger Awesome that you managed to beat it! Great job! xD The ending is kind of stupid. I actually really wanted to do a boss battle at the end, but I didn't have time to do it. Might still add one in a post jam update tough.
@pixelproductions @egor-iv Thank you!
GOOD ENTRY :)
I would say that the concept and the level design are a little too simplistic, making it quit repetitive really fast.
But gamedesign, gameplay - need add something for "full game" =)
It looks amazing! Hard to believe it was made in 48 hours.
The sounds are effective and the gameplay is good enough for a quick go.
You worked hard, good job!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** More enemy varieties would add a nice touch imho. Nothing besides that.
The game is super hard, to the point it feels a bit unbalanced, but gameplay itself is pretty solid with the small and big shot, gun recharge and powerups.
Overall, great work! I wish it had some music, though~
