ConsoleCommander is a (hard) game where you control a spaceship via a console. There's no real goal or end, just try to destroy as many enemy ships as possible before you run out of power/fuel/oxygen.

How To:

How To:

Input commands via the console or bind commands to your keyboard and try to fight against the ai opponent. After using the start command your compass will point in the direction of the enemy. To conserve power and/or fuel you can disable ship systems like navigation and life support. A full list of ship systems and their id is available through the "systems" command.

Controls:

tab - toggle console

custom - bind your own controls with the console

Example Console Commands:

burn 1 - Burn thrusters for 1 second.

turn 90 - Turn 90 degrees.

bind w "burn 2" - Burn thrusters for 2 seconds when pressing 'w' (if the console isn't in focus).

bind space fire - Fires the weapon when 'space' is pressed (if the console isn't in focus).

Really enjoyed this! solid graphics, interesting gameplay, I was pretty bad at it, managed to kill a few enemies though! Excellent job :smiley:

I love the visuals and your interpretation, the console control is cool but, dammit! I'm very bad to playing it :S

Just awesome, it very unique idea, fun but hard. Graphics looks nice, the game seems to be very polished.

Great game, but I didn't see any badguys! I followed the red line but never came across andy bad ships

I really liked the idea! NOW.. integrate this with a twitch bot and let a chat of people all take control of the ship and I think something special might happen ;)

Very interesting, very interesting. But I couldn't shoot the damn bastard down, yet, not even once :) I guess I'm lame or it was flying around too fast.

Neat little game. I think I spent more time configuring my bindings than playing, though that was strangely satisfying. I managed to kill 2 ships before running out of power, but I was not very efficient in my systems disabling.

Such a nice idea, the game it's aim to a specific public that is into commands and stuff. I was able to kill like 3 enemies before I run out of power. It was fun to play.

Figured out a neat trick - just do "burn 1000" and you can use "toggle thr" to toggle the thrusters on/off :D

Anyway, cool idea. I think you could expand upon this. For instance, you could add a delay command that would allow you to program more complex maneuvers, firing in patterns etc.
