Running out of Hell by Tygrak

[raw]
made by Tygrak for LD 42 (COMPO)

Extremely short rhythm/bullet hell game where your run out of space not filled with bullets.

Created in like 5 hours partly because I am lazy and also cause I didn't have all weekend free.

Controls:

WASD to move. Mouse to click things in the menu. Escape to exit level. R to restart.

Don't forget the game is "turn" based - you can basically move through bullets.

Made using:

Unity3D, Photoshop, my guitar, some bad free version of Ableton "Live" I got.

Unfortunately I can't get the rar files to unzip with WinRar or WinZip. Maybe upload a normal zip?
Friendly reminder to rate other games and you'll have more people check out your game as well.

I had no problem with the rar file. Especially with the music this is quite impressive for a 5 hour effort. The turnbased movement didn't feel great though, it might feel smoother if there was some recognition of inputs immediately even if the move didn't fully take place till the beat.

@eatthepath Thank you, if you add the time of me messing around with my guitar before I started working on the game it would probably be more than 5 hours, I didn't really track it in anyway this time. Makes me feel good when someone tells me that the music is music :). I also agree with the turn based system being pretty bad. The most optimal way to play right now is to kind of just mash the buttons and not care about being on the beat, I should have definitely put more work into making that feel right.

Your game is very nice to play. The general impact is positive.
As a professional game dev I would suggest... just kidding haha
Nonetheless, if you want to work on this project more I suggest making a difficulty incresing algorithm.
Graphics - very nice. Controls are also working very well.
Maybe you could also take a glimpse at my game? I already enlarged it into a wholesome Android game :)
