As The Crow Flies by BarDunBar

[raw]
made by BarDunBar for LD 40 (JAM)

Make your way across an infinitely* generated landscape with this simple, relaxing resource management game. As your avatar flies around the map, you must assign people to chop down trees, build farms, and dig mines. Using these resources you can then upgrade cities to give you access to even more people!

Over the course of development I strayed away from the theme, but I felt like submitting what I ended up with anyway.

*Landscape not guaranteed to be infinite. But it'll be pretty darn close.

From what I could see this was nice. Though I really recommend reuploading to itch with a smaller aspect ratio. Such a big game window is sadly almost unplayable :-(

I couldn't direct the crow. Nice terrain, and graphic. It would be nice if it was more lively. It looks a lot like civilizations games but without any civs. Well done.

Great atmosphere! I enjoyed the relaxing feeling. It was a bit difficult to read the small icons with at cross over them to know what you were missing to build something. Other than that I really enjoyed the experience!

This game was super relaxing. Without realizing it, half an hour went by while I was absorbed with the game haha

Really good game...
Would be nice to know the amount of resources needed to upgrade the cities.
Really liked it.
And yes.. like others already stated, my mouse will remember this... hahahahahaha

It's definetly a nice, relaxing game, the visuals are nice and coherent. I can't decide what I think of the gameplay though. On one hand, the idea of never staying in one place is unique for this kind of game, but since you're never allowed to stop and get attached to 'your village' etc. there's also a lack of a feeling of progression.

The game has beautiful visuals. The gameplay is somewhat intuitive, but I find it lacks some feedback as you are playing. The idea that everything becomes ephemeral is a nice concept.

The graphics, music and atmosphere is great. Too me the lake of goal or purpose make me fast lose interest in the game. But really well made.

The best clicker game i have ever played (sorry if u dint meant to do that but i fill this game like this). Awesome simple graphic (everything fits), with this music, ah i just could look at this flying crow so much longer. I totally left my cacao to get cold ... Only if this would be a little be more connected with theme. Great Job !!!

Really great Game, super relaxing and nice atmosphere. The controls and the game logic were pretty intuitive and the art style polished it :)
I would like the game even more if there were more things to grade up.
But one question remains, if the game field has infinite* size, where is the "the worse it gets"? :D
