And those soundtracks! I guess you didn't make it yourself? I would've given it 5 stars if I can..
Great visual aswell as a fitting sound for your game. The character reminds me a lot of super meat boy and when i first saw the saw (pun not intended) i remembered the pain.
I didn't really understood the link between the theme and your game though.
Congratz for this game man.
Art and audio are booth really good even though I found the music to be a bit too colorful and happy for the darker graphics.
I also like the fact that you allowed players to choose between 2 ways at the ends, it was a nice challenge, and it felt very rewarding doing them !
One of the best I've tried so far, bravo ! ;)
**Very cool!**
Cute pixel art with some nice animations and controls were super tight. I guess the music wasn't done by you guys or at least not during the jam but holy heck it was awesome, especially when the second level track kicked in...
Nice to see you covered all your bases with the control alternatives. Should pretty much be able to please everyone with WASD and arrow keys with separate jump button and also allowing you to jump with up.
Sound effects had some weird issues when they sometimes just didn't play at all. I think it was mostly the death sounds but caught few wall sticking sounds missing as well. The sound effects were the weakest side of the game overall. I think adding a bit of pitch variation each time a sound is played would be an easy fix for them getting too repetitive. Some sounds, again the death sound especially, could have used some more oomph.
The level design was well done and very intuitively taught all the necessary stuff without a word or even an icon. Everything went so smoothly like "oh that's a weird looking block, wonder what it does, lemme touch it, oh that, boom, understood". Only thing that really caught me off guard was the first spike, they could have looked more deadly.
The branching paths were quite unnecessary. You just made me play the whole game twice to experience everything. You could have just taken those bits, added a bit of extra and boom, a third level.
So yeah, my only complaint really is that there wasn't more of it. Good job!

The yellow "glue" tile reminded me of the honey covered walls of DK Country 2 :)
Congratulations on your game!

Is there any specific feedback you need?
Gameplay is fairly polished. Excellent job
I did not see any bugs. The only thing you can add is a timer for more challenge!
And the game design.. So clever ! With a nice curve of difficulty !
I loved it !
I can't really relate the game to the theme tho
@roman-petrov (:
Generally the game was hellishly hard. The only reason I came that far, without rage quitting, was because I played Super meat boy about a month ago.
The art is great especially the smoke when walking. Love it. The music fitted really well (its not from you, but you still picked a really well fitting one). The pacing of the levels is good (while starting really hard, it becomes harder at a good pace).
But the Gameplay lacked something interesting. There had been 2 "object mechanics" (the super high jump, and sticking to the block) Ive seen so far, thats cool. But the player himself doesnt have anything special. He just jumps. In super meat boy you got that sliding and therefore fluid movements which I havent seen in another game before it. Something like that would have been great. First making that, and after the "object mechanics" would have been a nice way, to make the controls feel better.
This sounds like I hate the game, which isnt true ^^ It's a good jump and run. Looks and sounds good. Gameplay is good. But I know you can do better next time :)
Cheers
I tried both ways but didn't succeed. I understand that it's possible to get past, it was just a bit too difficult for me at this point. But I think that if I had more time, I could do it. Thank you for making infinite lives :)
I would say it's not really that innovative but I actually have a feeling like playing a published game on the market. Great Job!
I want more of this! This was an incredible game! I want to play the full commercial game on my Nintendo Switch! Please make this happen. Such a solid entry! The music was great, I had the game running and just sitting on the first level while I was browsing twitter. The Art is fantastic and the controls felt good. Congrats on finishing your game!
I love the different mechanism of the blocks, this is really cool. It starts out nice and easy and then it gets really hard.
I think you could have placed a portal in the second level after the glue-jumping section in the beginning, I died at the saw and that was a bit frustrating to do the the jumping up again.
But overall a really nice game, would play it again.
Oh and the graphics are perfect, awesome style.
Fun game with some unique and interresting mechanics. Good looking graphics and cute player.
It really had that nice old school platformer vibe. Put me in a great mood.
Duration = wanted more levels but you had 3 days. too much to ask.
Stressing - Yes the last bit of the game was stressful and kinda made me angry in a good way though. I know what to do but timing for me is off. Completed it at the end though - took a long time.
Listening for the second time - the music is amazing.
Nice touch at the end, where the limk directs you to the ludum dare page embedded in. Really interested in how you did that. Care to Share
Your controls were tight and responsive. Though the game feels a bit slower, I think it does fit the game play well.
Your art is cute and well composed and creates a nice cohesive feel for the game, though I wish I knew more of the story of the game.
The music also really fit the game well.
My only real gripe would be level design, the last bounce pad obstacles were a huge ramp up in difficulty and seemed to punish the player fairly significantly. If you're continuing on with this project (which I think you guys should; its pretty awesome) I think re-imagining some of the "puzzles" or traps and spacing out the climb in difficulty would greatly benefit the your game.
That being said, I think it was great and look forward to more of you and your teams projects going forward!
The mechanics were not that unique. We've seen them in many games. But the levels you made out of those mechanics were so engaging and fun!
Mechanics are pretty cool.
Graphics and sounds are nice too. The game feel very polished and completed.
Super polished, as others have said. Great work.
I can only suggest two improvements:
1. Allow a small frame of leniency to jump off of a platform. You can leave the bool grounded variable on true for a few frames before you forbid jumping when the player reaches the limits of a ledge.
2. When detaching from sideways sticky walls, pressing down bounces you up. Talk to your friend spaceface14dev for a screenshot of what I mean.
Anyway, excellent job. I hope you go far.
Graphics and mechanics are very nice, especially that I love pixel art.
I know it's just a small game but I guess you could easily expand it into bigger fish :)
The sound background music is actually a little bit too loud. But anyways it provides great UX and immersion! (my face while doing the last challange haha)

Also big thanks for feedback on my very own game! When it appears on Market I will surely tweet you that!
Hope this game does really well!
