Enervatus is a space shoot'em'up made for Ludum Dare 39 - Running out of Power

Steer your ship with keyboard or gamepad.

Fire lasers with left mouse button, left ctrl or gamepad button 1. Fire missiles with right mouse button, right ctrl, or gamepad button 2.

As you play you will run out of power, shown by the yellow POWER meter. When you get lower and lower on power your ship's systems will start to malfunction. Collect power shards from defeated enemies to restore your power.

When you run out of HULL points the game is over.

NOTE: Keybinds can not be configured in the WebGL version, so it's likely your gamepad will not be mapped to proper inputs. Try the Windows version if you want to play with gamepad.

Known bug: The score doesn't reset unless you restart the game.

Very nice game. The concept was interesting, and the product was awesome! I especially liked the sound effects and particle/bullet effects.

Fun little game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4BqGc9csNo

Nice game! The models are really good, I like their blocky feeling. If I were looking for things that could be improved, I'd say it's a bit hard not to eat the bullets (since your hitbox is huge), which means rather than being dodging the bullets, you tend to avert the fights altogether.

Having said that, the balance of using-energy to collecting-energy is spot on, and the ramping difficulty makes it so that you don't end up playing forever, which is great. Good job!

Very nice game. Would have been nice if the enemies would have different models (spaceships). Good job!

Great game! Couldn't get right control to work for missile, had to use the mouse but otherwise pretty good. Progression felt good for the competition so you played just the right amount of time before it killed you off :)

Pretty simple, but efficient game!
I really liked the voxel models, it's a style that's not used nearly often enough.
I wish there was more to do with the power though! If everything was based on power (like, simply shooting or using missiles, but also repairing or refilling shields), it would be a lot more tense. You'd have to actually take important decisions, that would be cool!
