Data Strain is heavily inspired by Demon Hunters from World of Warcraft.

You're in a computer. Some programs are leaking memory and it's your job to clear up the memory so the computer can keep working. Do you have what it takes to be a Memory Cleaning Agent?

Your glaives are able to react with data to move them around inside the RAM. You must unload this data by moving it inside the far-most right gate. Simple right?

My high-score is 14,304kb cleared. Can you beat it? Share your scores in the comments! :D

:warning: The game can also be run in your web browser for those who do not have Windows. There is some problems loading with certain browsers (mainly Firefox). Try opening it in Chrome, Edge, or Internet Explorer. It is recommended that if you have Windows, to download the Windows version to avoid issues as that version runs perfectly fine. You can also download the WebGL variant from the link below, just extract all from zip and launch "Index.html"

Thank you! :D

cool dynamics and animation, but i think it loses momentum when too many boxes are on the screen

@kostbllb I agree, I've been play testing it for like 6 hours now and I probably should lower the spawnrate. Oh well, maybe for the full release! Thanks for the feedback :D

A really great idea and the topic directly hit!
The graphics and animations are also great!
I wish you great success. :)

The graphics and animation are great, and it runs really smoothly, but gets nigh-impossible after some point and the physics gets a bit screwy when there's too many boxes on the field. It's good apart from that. I feel as if you made this into an adventure action beat-em-up game, it'll turn out great, haha. But I guess we all gotta fit the theme, right?

Pretty awesome game! The graphics and the music is amazing, and hitting those blocks is quite addicting. I had 4008KB. The only issue had was being stuck on the game over screen.

@lexyvil Thank you, glad to hear you enjoyed it! I have been playing it all night trying to beat my own high-score, haha. Sorry about that for the end game screen; I'll have to look into that!

Looks great but I have to reload the browser any time my game ends. Couldn't figure out the restart button.

It's a very clean scoring game! The style is super good, too bad it's so repetitive!

Great graphics, style, and audio. It was very difficult getting between boxes or out from underneath boxes. It wasn't fully clear where I needed to push the blocks or that my goal was even to push the blocks (or maybe I ignored all hints given :)); I figured my goal was to slash them a bunch until they dissolved or exploded.

Great job!

Nice game, I hope to see more updates and improvments sooner.
If you don't bother take a look at our game when we focused on Graphics and visuals and see the results that we got:

Very fun game! I played it much longer than I expected. It was really enjoyable, the character movement / jump dash thing was VERY satisfying. Awesome work!

Very nice! I love the graphics. The physics-based gameplay is very satisfying, I enjoyed hitting huge rows of blocks out of the way. The gameplay does get repetitive, I think it could be built on by adding some more obstacles or varying the level design.

Damn i really liked this, the theme was awesome and the graphics were really nice, the animations on the character were very smooth and the attack style was perfect, only thing i would change would be to make the jump a little bit more freeing, as i felt very constrained when doing it. Overall Very well done i really enjoyed this one!
