Those who want to read... hello!

Pressing On Rhythm Thoughtfully, Jump on Yellow Square, or P.O.R.T. J.O.Y.S. for short, is an acronym that masquerades as a Ludum Dare twitch minigame.

Jump in the correct direction on the third beat of every measure and rack up a ton of points, for points are what give you bragging rights over me, the author who can only score about 12000 in their own game.

You always face towards the "center" of the map and jump direction is relative (i.e. if you're on the bottom square and you want to jump to the right square, you jump to the right; but, if you're on the top square and you want to jump to the right square, you jump to the left), so make sure to pay attention!

There are definitely no other gimmicks in this game, and you should feel free to entirely rely on all visual aids presented at the start. Have fun!

Oh yeah, I've only tested this on Chrome on a laptop. It may break in other browsers, and definitely won't work on a phone, unless you have a keyboard hooked up to your phone somehow, which would be pretty wild.

The game is simple yet challenging! I got only 7524 points. I would appreciate if the speed increased at a slightly slower rate or if there was a way to reclaim lost lives (e.g. as a reward for 10 perfect hits in a row - maybe there is?).

I like the overall simplicity and built-in single-computer multi-player (or extra challenging mode where you play both players at the same time ).

(Sound does not work in Safari, but in Firefox it does.)

I just barely made it to where the rooms started rotating and lost everything! It's a decent design and could be a great rhythm game if there was more music. The indicator arrows are nice to orient yourself on the controls early on.
