Fighting Souls by RAFFE
Fighting Souls is a turn based battle game made my Raffe and JustMars. You fight against creatures, and at the end you will face a final boss. You can switch between 4 characters, and use different spells, powers and other epic things, to try and beat monsters and finally the game.
You need to sacrifice characters, to be able to make it to the end.
RED attack buttons deal more damage than GREEN attack buttons, but you can only use the RED ones once per battle.
There are two INSTAKILL powers in the game. You will figure those out when playing.. Your powers reset after every battle.
The game is spiced with lots of humorous powers, voice acting and animations.
We were in a lot of hurry in the end balancing and doing the most important stuff, so we didn't have time to make any detailed textures or models. Still we think the mechanics and characters turned out fine.

Controls: - Move: A & D, or arrow keys - * Move camera:* Mouse while holding right or middle click - Zoom: Scroll wheel - Change character: Number keys (1-4) or clicking on icons (only in battle) - Attacks: X & Z (only in battle) or clicking on the attack buttons

Maybe just improve some Level Design metrics according to the platforms in order to facilitate the player progression will be appreciated, same thing for the different abilities (one shot the boss was a little bit disappointing ^^)
But that remains a good moment passed to play, thank you guy ! :)
The mechanics are interesting, but i think the graphics could be more polished, but i guess as if the focus are the humour they kinda fit.
The voice acting also ... DAB! My sides.

haha! That was nice! I really like the idea about pausing the action to enter into the combat, also the different 4 characters and their special abilities. I've managed to fight against Faded with my Agent and I used dab as final attack... The monster died to cringe and I died to shame!
Maybe you could make the combat system a bit faster but anyways it was very fun to play. Congrats!
I'd definitely suggest playtesting it and giving a feel for how quickly you can move through the battles and game.
The idea of a 2D platforming JRPG is really apealing to me!
Could def. need some more polish (but i think you guys know that already) but otherwise a nice entry!
As advices:
* if you can turn the camera around, why not allow player to use w and s?
* maybe balance a bit: the ennemies seemed hard to kill (without sacrificing a character) and the end boss can be one shot (yes by sacrificing one of your agent but as it is the boss, you do not care).
