I.. LOVED THIS GAME.
The colorful ambient, the idea, the lowpoly art... EVERYTHING!

And the end.. no spoiler, but I have to share this pic:

BEWARE THE MAGICAL CORN.

The design is great, the combination is silly, and the ending was fantastic haha. Wish there was some ambient music to accompany the game.

I didn't get to make a game this year but if I did, I wish it would have been up to the level of this. Not only is the idea great, but the execution was even better. The whole play-through was a blast and there were even a few secrets here and there. Really well done, I can't believe you were able to pull this off in 48 hours!

Unfortunately I cannot play your game on 32 bit Windows, can you please add a 32 bit build, it will work on both 64 and 32 bit Windows.

Nevermind, I found out that Unity dropped support for XP so I cannot play your game. Except if you can manage to get a web build up but I don't know how easy or hard that is to do with Unity...

Nice game, but definitely a bit Skinner box. But I suspect that was the point. It was a bit confusing if you didn't fire on the dirt plot, maybe a way to recover seeds?

@ben-pearson It is pure joy to watch other people play you game, thanks for playing! Yeah, the game turned out more boring than I wanted it to. It was intended to have a lot of manual interaction in the beginning but later in game it should be more automated. I just hadn't enough time to implement all content I planned, so I tried to made some kind of progression with things I got. Actually, behind second unlockable fence there was another type of plant, which is much easier to deal with.

Really nice looks, and attention to details (i.e. she shine on the sword). Gameplay is fun at start but gets a bit repetitive, and of course I wasted on my seeds trying to shoot over the fence, so I had to restart :). Good Job

Great work! That dirt didn't stand a chance. Solid art style strongly reminiscient of Slime Rancher, and really polished delivery. If you wanna check out ours, we also did a farming shmup (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/spoons-loaded). We had two people with more time, but your's was definitely the slicker game in the end.

Well, it looks great and there's an impressive amount of polish! The picking up of produce and coins and things seems a bit finicky and the amount of farming needed to open fences was a bit much, but it certainly is a well executed marriage of two genres that really are a bit incompatible. Nice!

I liked this game!

The cube-berries remind me of [the Cuberries in Slime Rancher](http://slimerancher.wikia.com/wiki/Cuberry).

I was playing it with a friend beside me, and he said it would be cool to add some enemies to shoot at with the Seed Gun, so you would have to regrow the bullets you use.

Really nice little game. Adorable and fun overall.
The gameplay is quite smooth and it was cool to chop off strawberries with a katana :p

Damn good game! I've played this longer than any other LD game so far, so that's an achievement! the 500 corn at the end was a nice touch. it's fun to watch coins fly out of this thing.

the biggest problem with it is the movement is clunky and has a motion blur effect, I got used to it but it wasn't nice. other than that great work!![MONEY.png](///raw/c01/01/z/13662.png)

@Steffo Thanks for you feedback! Yeah some part of inspiration came from Slime Rancher, but I played it several months ago and I do not remember fruit shapes, so this is coinsidence actually. Thanks for the idea, is is quite reasonable. I had some plans for enemies, I just didn't had enough time. As it turns out, your resources are very limited when you are trying to make a polished game in just two days by one person.

Quite a charming game and an interesting mix of genres. Having to look directly at each berry to pick it up got a little tedious for me after a while though. The aesthetic is pleasing and I also like that coins were hidden in the level. Keep up the great work!

Finished the game! Nice concept, wonderful low poly graphics and funny ending! One little negative note, in my opinion, is that you must pick one item at time, and this requires a lot of patience!! Great work anyway!

Really liked your concept! It was fun! The game could use some more feedback for actions that occurred. Also visually highlighting POI could be useful as it took me a bit to realize that I need to use the dirt :P Really like the purchase new area idea, gives me something to keep playing and work towards. Overall I liked your idea and with some work, it has great potential to be a steam game.

Really good game. Starting with just one patch to grow at the beginning prove that I'm am inpatient. Although default Unity controller makes it easy to move around, but collecting tiny things off the floor is somewhat cumbersome. Other than that, your farm looks more farm-like compared to mine ;)

I really like the low poly look, and mixing an FPS with a farming sim is a fun idea. I got board of having to pick up each berry and coin, would be nice to auto collect.

Thought I was seeing double for a second! Im glad to see someone else going with the farming simulator x <something> type of game :)
Overall very nicely done though! Especially considering its a compo entry. Could have done with some music or ambient sfx, but otherwise a neat little game. Certainly enjoyed the physical coins popping out into the world.

I’m not sure if you were able to see it, but I played your game on my stream at https://www.twitch.tv/saoigames tonight.

The game has a lot of potential, but there are some fail states that you can't recover. When I saw the sign to shoot the ground to plant a seed I thought I'd have to shoot the grass to make a dirt patch I could plant in. I ended up shooting all my seeds and couldn't advance.

I also encountered an issue where I had my berries inside a plant and couldn't pick them up without cutting down the plant.

I liked that cutting the plant to harvest, but I wish there was a button the would suck objects into your inventory instead of having to focus and press E. If holding E just collected the near by objects that would be cool.

Good Game!

@saoi-games thanks for playing! Yes you are right, I have some things to improve. Originally I wanted to make some kind of magnet to pick up all items around you but I had no time left for this. I wish I made this feature because a lot of people are getting bored in the very beginning and are not progressing far enough to see all features in my game... For example, you missed another plant type and another gun that were placed in later locations.

Really interesting idea with the mashup. I didn't get too far but it seemed like a lot of fun. One thing I'd change is to add an automatically pick up the berries and seeds after you chop

Great concept. I really liked the art and the idea of turning farming into a FPS. My one suggestion would be to make collecting items you get from chopping down plants happen automatically. It was a bit tedious to pick them up one at a time. Great game!

@Satanos Thanks for playing and posting link to the video! It is always really cool to see other people play your game. I watched this video with automatically generated subtitles that were translated to English and I believe I understood almost everything. You are right, the game turned out quite tedious but it looks like you played a game for a while and I appreciate it!

@firesplash-entertainment Yeah that is insane that we came up with almost the same ideas! You are right, we both had some issues but I believe we also got a lot of experience so our next games will be a lot better. Thanks for playing!

Is that gold shower ?

I really love that game ! It bother me that you had nothing to get auto the thing on ground (like in Borderlands or Bioshock, when you maintain the take button) or an vaccum cleaner, but it was still fun to try to optimise the way to cultive and shoot at plant !
A calm but pretty good game, at my point of view !
