The story is absolute the best part of this game. The mini games is okay, but I would have preferred there only was one mini game, you have used more time on. The graphics is very simple and it fits the game idea well. Overall this a okay LD game, with a great story.

I have now also rated your game.

Thanks for the comment and the rating! We were mostly focused on story as you could tell but we all really loved the idea of having a few completely different games within this one small fishbowl; of course that was probably a little ambitious :^)

Flappy fish. Anyways, the audio design is probably the most standout bit of your game to be honest; different sounds for every bit. I got really worried at first because I genuinely hated the bowl controls... but you don't really have to use them for anything besides nomming so it didn't become an issue.

Thanks for the game <3

@Stanislav, yes we really really wanted to get a 'rapidfire' 'arcade' kind of mode in where once you beat the story you could just go straight to the games and for a high score. Unfortunately we did not have time, but do plan to implement it soon!

So glad you liked the game @ilseroth, I think that if you hated being in the bowl then it had its intended effect c:

haha, the credits at the end were a nice touch, a couple extra lives in the levels would have been awesome so I could rock it after I figured out what was going on. I defended the shit outta the* planet at the end tho!

tell me did I set the world record high score? ...

@tweedle Thanks for the kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed the game. To be honest the arcade levels were about 10 times easier for most of the jam up until the last few hours so for a while only having one life left you alive for way too long... I think I may have gone a little overboard on the difficulty changes though C:

Nice, several different allegories packed into a game that at start felt like "oh no this'll be slow" but I ended up playing to the end.

Nice story. I actually started feeling like the fish. At first I moved around the bowl constantly but by the end I just stayed still waiting for my food. Really quite something to evoke that feeling so quickly.

That fish must have loved flappy bird...! The animations in this game were great and I liked the music/sound effects. Actually I really liked how the moving animation would speed up as you moved, maybe its not very hard to make (I'm honestly not sure) but it looked super good. Certainly a fun little game.

As an aquarium owner, I started to wonder and feel bad for this fish. I hope that my fish don't feel suicidal tendencies too.

Cool series of sequences here! Cool ideas! Great job :)

I like the overall looks of the game, and the goldfish animations are very cute. I’m a little baffled though that goldfish ponders his days in the ocean when they’re freshwater fish, but maybe I’m just nitpicking.

I didn’t realize the seaweed was dangerous in the first mini-game. I’m not too sure how you make seaweed look threatening though.

I really do like the overall theme and short story it’s trying to convey.

The music builds up the atmosphere very will. However the minigames are difficult, needs practice but I have no chance to retry

I like that when you run into the side of the bowl he bounces off and faces the other direction. That was a nice bit of polish that added a lot to the game feel for me. I failed the first dream really fast because I didn't think I needed to dodge the seaweed. The defend the earth mini game was my favorite. Nicely done. :)

Great job. I loved the graphics and the music very much. With the story and all, it really felt as though you're in a bowl and dreaming.

The game felt really polished: the bouncing off the walls was a nice touch.

I also really loved the concept: I thought it was very creative. So all in all: godd work!
