Periodic Pirates [WIP] by Jamie McClenaghan

[raw]
made by Jamie McClenaghan for LD 40 (JAM)

In Periodic Pirates, you are a space traveler and courier trading elements across the galaxy. Different planets will have different desired deals - some less than legal. Planetary representatives who wish to purchase illegal elements will pay top dollar, but the risk associated with this sort of business will stack over time.

Keep an eye on your inventory. These elements are volatile and will deteriorate over time. Even worse, clusters of these elements will speed their deterioration - so large stacks of an element will deteriorate faster than small amounts.

Can you make enough money to pay off the intergalactic mafia before they track you down? Get trading, courier, and find out.

The gameplay seems to be a bit unfinished; The inventory for example didn't change during the game, and nothing happened after remaining time hit 0...
But: The creative design is awesome. Interface looks cool and so do the planets. The lifeforms are magnificent and the music creates a great atmosphere. Adding spacenews is creative aswell.
I really liked the narrative intro. That is very special.
