Resident Racing by Augunrik
Race against yourself, drive as fast as you can - but survive the zombies that are hiding in the woods. A clash between a zombie survival game (without any weapons) and a racing game. What will be your best time? Mine is 00:59.739.
Best played in a local player build (mac/win/linux).

Please note that the macOS and linux build may miss the execution flag to run perfectly.
Fix this with:
macOS-Terminal cd Downloads && chmod +x residentracing.app/Contents/MacOS/residentracing
linux: chmox +x <Path>/residentracing
Adjust the brightness so it's dark enough in the menu screen - or in the pause screen (ESC). You can also lower the quality.

@candlesan Unity helps you with that, there is a working controller you can adapt for this. Basically it changes the pitch of the same sound.
But anyway I actually got scared and didn't wanted to die... so good job on the game!
It was an interesting concept to combine zombie horror with racing. The road was very curvy which made it difficult to drive, but I imagine that was part of the point. Once when I got turned around, I could see the finish line behind me which was disorienting because I would think I would be driving straight ahead to get away from the zombies rather than around in circles.
I would have liked to see more branching paths where I could take forks in the road and might end up in dead ends that I have to turn around and retrace my steps as I flee from zombies. I also wish I could have seen the zombies in some way. The audio was great, but not everyone has headphones to experience the voice acting. A visual would have been more immersive.
I didn't care for the hand cutout graphic at the end when the zombies got me. It didn't fit with the aesthetics of the game and deterred from my enjoyment. I think it would have been better to find a higher quality graphic to match the visuals created with the trees and person cardboard that was inside the gameplay.
Congratulations on the Ludum Dare.
